Minnesota medical professionals urge MMA to remain opposed to assisted suicide

I am a CNM and i am opposed to assisted suicide. many others ways to care for people.

I am a registered nurse and agree that physician assisted suicide should not be legalized.

Assisted suicide is NOT healthcare! It is a failure to care for those who need loving support.

I care for dying patients and their families on a daily basis and do not feel that changing your position from "opposed" to "neutral" in regards to legalizing assisted suicide is in the best interests of anyone.

Life is precious and a sacred gift from God. We should do we can to preserve life, all life.

It is God that creates life and ends life in His time, not ours as human beings and medical professionals.

My father did not come to know Jesus until just before his 100th birthday. I prayed and asked him to take Jesus as his Lord and Savior for ten years. He finally accepted Jesus and what a change. A society can neither thrive or survive if the most vulnerable feel unsafe or unwanted.

Although not high up on the chain of health care professionals (I currently work in a clinic setting up appointments) I have 40 years of health care experience in many settings. All of us, directly or indirectly, are here to heal. This is not healing.

Assisted suicide goes against hippocratic oath and is morally wrong.

I know other countries are doing this ,i pray America doesn't follow their lead as we have so often been doing as of late!

I believe all life is sacred even up to the hour of death. I don't think it should be the doctor's job to plat God.
