Florida A&M University's Chemistry Department is penalizing all students enrolled in the 2016 Spring Chemistry 1045 and 1046 courses by not allowing the students to take the American Chemical Society (ACS) Final Exam because of their irresponsibility in both guarding and administering the exam. This eliminates 15% of the students grades. Thus, resulting in many students failing, being required to repeat the course, and/or loosing their scholarships. I really need this to boost my GPA so that u can actually get into grad school. I felt like all the professors were horrible and did not really teach anything. My professor basically just showed powerpoints all semester with or explaining anything. They were always channing the syllabus around. The homework went from not being in the syllabus to extra credit time being 20% of our grade. And I still don't know what I've made on exams 3 and 4 because they were never posted on blackboard. This was an chemistry was an awful experience. I've been in hard classes but it almost seems like the goal of the department is to fail it's students.
