The exhaustion is setting in but we are inching toward two hundred and fifty signatures. Please find someone who can add their name to this fight today because we need more weight behind this protest.

November 9, 2015

The sheer volume of people joining this fight has moved beyond anything I initially expected. I am exhausted by the constant uphill battle against these rates but feeling the weight of your backing keeps me going.

The uphill battle against this rate increase is exhausting but I am not stepping back now. We are moving toward 100 people and I need you to get this in front of someone new today so we keep building pressure.

Business has had to tighten their belts with the savage downturn, I and others have had to do the same since losing our jobs, council should do likewise. Look at alternatives, look at working smarter.

Really, after the overblown wreck of a 'town upgrade' that nobody wanted except the councillors and the contractor? How wonderful to pay even more for the joy of dodging the potholes in the roads, and the suicidal intersection at Whittingham.

We have just had a large increase in our rates is it fair to hit us again.Pensioners are finding it hard to keep coming up with the money to fund council. What about the $11 million that was mentioned on the news

9.75%?! That's over 6 times the current inflation rate.... How do you seriously justify that?! Maybe the council could sell some of those lights down the Main Street back to France...

I think the increase is ridiculous. We pay enough now for nothing. We live out of town & Council do not supply any services to us, so really what the hell are we paying for????

Are you lot kidding. With the situation with mining industry and lack of job security this is a disaster for singleton people barely paying their mortgage and bills as it is. I'm moving. Take my business and my kids sell my house and go.

This council is not fit for anything!

If the only option for Singleton Council to continue into the future is with a combined 45% rate rise, then they should be amalgamated.
