Nkwazi Primary School has over the years moved all its Inter House Sport Competitions /activities ( Including the Wheelerthon) to Saturdays and this has been done without consideration of the fact that the school has pupils and families that have their Church worship on this day.
Sporting activities which are part of the school curriculum must be beneficial and enjoyed by all pupils of the school to help grow their physical and mental ability to prepare them for the future, after all every pupil is paying the same amount of school fees. There should be no segregation to this fact based on the day on-which these activities are placed and as such they should be carried out on a school calendar day which is from Monday to Friday.
To this end we are calling for Nkwazi Primary School Management and the PTA to move all Inter House sports competitions and other such activities to a week day to ensure all children have equal opportunity to participate without feeling segregated or marginalized. Use of Saturday for School Activities meant to benefit all the pupils should come to an end.

I support this noble cause.
Im not happy with the inconvenience situation that my daughter and us as parents have found ourselves in by the firstly short notice of change of school calender sports date to a compromising decision to have sports day on Saturday depriving our outgoing daughter from participating in the important activity ehich ee regard as important as her curriculum work. I ask that the respected dates for all activities be moved to the week days as before to avoid Nkwazi not being attractive to adventist parents. I further feel we as parents are not considered in decision making and not regarded to ne important stakeholders in the process shown by the action over this special event. I want to understand the process and procedure used to arrive at this Saturday Sabbath day for me as now being a sports day for our daughter.
