Owed over $15,000 in child support payments for over 23 years. Why?????
I did not create this child on my own but yet has been the sole provider always working 2 jobs. Union County Probation is a joke of a system with employees sleeping at their desk.

changes need to be made. ive been looking for something in writing that states what child support covers and have had no luck.

I am currently unemployeed and paying 257 a wk for child support for one child and filed several motions in past years for a reduction and have been denied and not given the obtion to plead my case in front of a judge. I currently only get $98. From my unemployment after my chlid support is garnished. I live in middlesex county

The last time I collected child support was in 2010 that's only because his pay was garnish and then he quit his job once they found him and now he is serving 5 years in Florida jail.

I am one of the cases in arrears for over $9000 and nothing is enforced! unless I become the enforcer and break the law myself and deprive my child's father his visits who lives in his mothers basement.

My ex owes me over $20k in back child support. He was out of work and was not made to pay any child support from his unemployment or to pay the arrears when he started back to work. They also need to consider each parents monthly expenses. I pay rent, car payment car insurance, utilities, and food and that is more than my take home pay. My ex sleeps in a twin size bed in His mom's house in a retirement community and has hardly any monthly expenses and only pays $96/week in child support

The system needs to change. My daughter's bio dad is always behind and all I'm ever told is "we sent out another notice" um a notice doesn't put food in my kid's mouth or help put clothes on her back. He's always done this and it's time it ends!

I'm adding the fact that my case was closed due to father on ssi. Since when the father doesn't pay because he's disabled! That us money that can support his child!

If it wasn't for income tax I wouldn't get anything all year long and that is even spent right away!!!

The current NJ child support system is a disappointment to say the least. It is not geared towards the welfare of the child, there is no enforcement, too much emphasis is given to the parent who does not pay support...NOT to the well-being of the child or parent who actually needs the support. I have actually sat in court and watched as fathers owed amounts over $10,000 just walk out smiling as the mother of 2 children sit stunned as they have seen no support in months & years and the deadbeat parent walks around free. Try calling your caseworker...they never get back to you...no one is actively working to secure the needs of the children...THATS what this probation/child support system was supposed to be ...yet they, the children... are the ones who have lost... they are being failed by this system in NJ...time for change !!!!

my kids father moved out of state with an active warrant so what happens??! Absolutely nothing. In the mean time I have raised both of our children and one includes a mentally and physically handicapped child.

My kids father has not pd in quiete some time now. I have 2 kids wit there father no justice at all he just hides cause he don't want to work

My x husband $85,000 behind in Camden county and he's a licensed electrician in nj and pa! No justice for our children!! Shame on the system!

I am a single mom of a beautiful little boy and his "father" has chosen to play no part in his life. Because he is military, the court system was very lenient with not only asking for paper proof of his income and living arrangements but also the enforcement of child support/insurance!

My ex is in arrears for just under 400.00 which is not a lot to somebut others it is. Problem is that when arrears occur either due to a lapse in work or child support enforcement being slow I miss a month of payments for my daughter n when he starts paying again I get $11.00 a week for him to catch up but wht about the bills that month that added to 400.00 where am I supposed to come up with it not like I can tell camp oh I will give u 19.00 extra a week. Plus if under 400.00 then income tax refund does not get put towards arrears. Then he has the 400.00 has to send money to child support they receive 400.00 but they still only give me the 19.00 biweekly instead of the 400 he just paid its ridiculous.
