I raise my cousins 2 kids. Its been years. At first i applied for support but when it wasnt enforced i applied for a non needy tanf. Thats when you have a family members kids and the parents are required to pay welfare back not myself. Ive never seen my arrears then dad got a settlement and welfare got the money but i am still owed 14.000 from the previous order and i recieved 100 bucks from welfare. Smh nj sucks! They are still in arrers. Working and making more kids that they dont have custody of.

Id also like to add that the state process incoming child support in a timely manner. Parents should not have to wait weeks to get their $ because someone is not proficient in their position

The time it takes to get the money on to the card is crazy. Especially when non custodial don't pay on time. Then he gets charged to make a payment. I think he said it charges him 18 dollars. Then i have to wait a week or more. Sometimes we need the money asap. Im a full time student and single mother struggling for sure.

Currently unemployed and can't get my child support reduced because I have no pay stub so I am obligated to pay every week as if Iam making 50.000 a year.what do I do?

dealing with my own case that's not enforced with 6-7 thousand in arrears- let alone the tiny amount of money I was awarded for 2kids

I do not have a current issue with child support but I have heard the horror stories. Mom's and even dad's taking care of their children with no help from the other parent. Or the other parent is thousands in arrears and then works of the books so as not to be caught by the system. If warrants are issued they only help if the county can find parent in question and then what? The county let's them out before they pay even a tenth of what they owe. How's this teaching children responsibility? How is this showing other parents that if they do split and can't get along that the state will help them mediate it out?

Please! My daughter has been dealing with a non-compliant father who has said he won't pay her and waits until they arrest him and has others bail him out. He has figured out a way to have his friends and family pay his obligation by doing this. It's not like he pays a large amount either. It's only $32 a week. This amount in itself is a disgrace. There is no penalty for this man having repeatedly ignore the Judges order either. I believe that there should be some form of accountability for the repeat offenders. Things happen, I understand this, but, when a man waits until he's arrested over and over again there should be penalties.

Ive been struggling for the past 3 years cuz my babydad wont get a job and he hasnt been to jail not once yet and only got $200 one month out of the 3 years like i didnt get myself pregnant and nor did i have a sperm donor! My life is so hard cuz i dont have help from him!

Do something already! This is a no-brainer. Signatures should not be needed. We should just fill the court houses with every child that is not cared for in the state of NJ. Is that enough?

My sons father only pays support when he has been arrested on a warrant.. he pays 130 a mo 60 goes towards arrears? ??!! Hes been arrested 4xs in the last year on support warrants. Always the same thing. . Pays n is out.

I think this a good cause. I also wanted to add that I believe when applying for child support, the offices should be more,easily accesible. I have applied for child support and I do not drive. It is impossible for me to get to the,courthouse when it is so far away. They should only require court when it's time to hear the 2 sides l, not just for an application

My daughters father owes me over $89k in child support arrears. There is no enforcement on our NJ court order that has been in effect since 1999.
