Non-custodial parent is $21,000 in arrears, had 2 additional children to the one he cannot afford, no job, but has an iPhone, new sneakers, etc and yet he is still authorized to have visitation. As the custodial parent, I work 2 jobs, make sure my child eats, has clothing, medical insurance, etc. Something has got to give!

Enforcement is a major issue. A person should not be incarcerated if they ca not afford to pay, period. Debtors prisons were outlawed in the 19th century. Help the parents and you help the kids, put the parents in jail you hurt the kids and the parents, the grand parents .....

I understand how you may feel that way. Any suggestions on how we should change the system that would be more fair to dads, fair to moms...and more importantly, make sure our children are taken care of financially?
