SWe behave a noise problem in Lookouy Valley too! I called CPD a couple of months ago and the motorcycle racing down Adkins between 10:30 PM and 1:30 AM during warm nights and when it wasn’t raining quieted down, but it has started up gain! Need police to come out here and monitor at night to ticket rider.

It is STILL illegal in TN and in City of Chattanooga, per public govt records. I’ve met with City of CHA elected officials & city employees since about 2018. I started this petition in 2019; then the pandemic happened so I intentionally slowed down my advocacy. I’m encouraged to see new signatures and comments in 2021. PLEASE share this petition with other CHA citizens who support the enforcement of the existing laws. With the support of a significant number of citizens, I would like to submit this petition and a public comment to our City Council in 2022. If you have ideas to move this advocacy forward, contact me. [email protected]

I am sick of being woken up by these inconsiderate motorcycle riders. I am 68 and still working full time just to make a living. These people should not be aloud to disturb people that have to get up and go to work. They ride in the wee hours of the morning and then probably sleep all day. How hard would it be to trace the registered cycles and keep a watch.? Even people that live close to these cycle owners know who they are. I want it stopped!

Tired of hearing them each week, late at nite , even with window closed and a radio on. Seems to be getting worse each year!

Loud mufflers used to be illegal. It’s unnecessary noise. Please help us eliminate it.

Consistent enforcement of this noise ordinance is long overdue.

This is also an issue in Lookout Valley near Highway Patrol.

We live in condo on Frazier right near the walking bridge. Motorcycles are toooo loud and race way too often. So dangerous to themselves but mostly to others. Thank you.

The noise level is high, not just racing - but sitting in the park and on frazier, in gas station, or wherever just reviving their engines to a high pitched whine. It is insane. Good luck having a conversation on a restaurant patio or your own patio.

The extremely loud motorcycles we are referencing dangerously weave in and out of traffic and have nearly caused me to wreck on Norcross Rd. Another time my young new driving daughters were almost side swiped by the same wreckless motorcyclist on Hwy 153 driving between cars. The late hours of back and forth revving on Ashland Terrace and Hixson Pike literally wake up residence between 2-3 am. The neighborhood app forum is full of residential complaints of these inconsiderate motorists and something needs to be done before someone is hurt or killed on the Hixson roads.

My mom is 88 years old with dementia and a plethora of other ailments. I finally get her to sleep and those bikes go racing down Dayton Blvd and wake her into a terrified and confused old woman. Takes forever to get her back to sleep.
