We own a 2014 Nissan Altima. 2.5 Litre At 53,469 miles the CVT transmission went out completely. The Altima is the 8th Nissan i have owned & THE LAST NISSAN I WILL BUY.Nissan has the money to fight this. The only people that make money off these lawsuits are Attorneys. The plaintiffs get pennies on dollar SAD.

Bought a used Nissan cube, was told cvt transmission had been replaced at 105k miles. Transmission has 45k miles on it and is now failing. PATHETIC! I've driven cars for over 200k miles with the same transmission. 45k miles is a joke. Can't even drive it anymore. Only got 9 months out of the car and had to by a pt cruiser bc it was cheaper than fixing the transmission in the cube.

I have a 2013 Nissan Sentra. Bought it used from a Dealership in Charlotte NC Jan, 2018. By June 2018 the transmission started having problems. By September it was barely drivable. Took it to Nissan and they said the transmission would need to be replaced...$4500. They insisted buying a new car and sending this one back would be the way to go, but I don't want the hit on the credit so now paying for 2 cars. Nissan has refused to help fix this car or add an extended warranty on the 2013 Sentra even though they have added it to may other years that have the same transmission.

Just purchased a 2013 Nissan Sentra with 42k miles. Transmission went out in March of this year after 3 months of use. It's in the transmission shop getting the transmission replaced now!

2012 Nissan Rogue, 2nd owner, purchased from the dealer with 14k miles on it, now has 90k, and needs transmission. Gave MAF sensor error, so I replaced, cleared code, and got on turnpike, failed with engine light, drove 190 miles at 11-17 mpg, replaced again at destination, cleared code, mileage went back to 26mpg, drove 50 miles, engine light again, mpg at 20, rpm's rise with cruise on doing 70mph. Had to turn off cruise, and not accelerate, as rpm's would raise to 6k, drove it like that home, and next day car was in 'limp'mode, would start, idle, etc. Took to a mechanic, he cleared and updated CPU in computer, then pulled the VSS, found metal shavings in unit, reluctor ring wouldn't turn. Needs a factory replacement, with labor $3k and tax. Dealer said I am SOL. NOT HAPPY with Nissan at all. My wife loved this car until now. Will never purchase another Nissan!!

i just called nissan 2012 nisssan versa they want nissan to have the diagnosis. really? i took it to midas. i read all these unsafe complaints, two weeks ago my car the gas pedal acted like it was not working. i pushed and got stuck in the middle of an intersection .. really? i had to call tow truck. later it worked still working but the rmps jump... its not acting right . i am lucky i have had my car with no problems til then i did not put alot of miles on it. 112008 that is not many km. they exteneded warranties on most but not mine of course. but i did find in the us lawsuit going on with 2012 to 2013 nissan versa. they are looking at winning . because the cvts are k nown to fail . while we have to give them nissan money for the part.... i just paid this car off hoping to get at least a few more years. then i am hearing nightmares of 2nd and 3 rd failures on the trannies? really? news story... i am not finished i am keep at this . i am going to keep calling . i have been along with many others , a loyal customer. why would they do that ? why would nissan? sell cars with cvt failures. then u pay it out .hmmm sounds like the money train to me. not happy .... i am gonna keep at this . despite failure. i need my car.. you would think there would be a resolution or recall. without the lawsuits. the online complaints. i am disappointed. if its not resolved ill never buy another one ever.
