I tried talking to a lawyer and they didn't want to represent me. They said since the transmission already had a recall on it that they couldn't do anything.

My 2012 versa tranny is going out just as described in other complaints. Nissan won't do anything! I still owe 9000 and am scared to get read ended and die!

2012 Nissan Versa 65k miles (5k out of warranty). Issue started TWO DAYS after they did recall service on my transmission. Nissan refusing to help but I will keep fighting.

I have a 2012 nissan versa. transmission crapped out on major highway leaving me stranded in virginia on a roadtrip. 10 months later guess what happens again? transmission failure. (both before 60k) its a death trap,

My 2014 Sentra feels like it will stall out when I brake hard and at times does not respond to acceleration. Dealership did an update that did not help and talk me to keep driving it.

Transmission just died on my 2012 Nissan Versa at 102000 km. (2000 km out of warranty). In process of talking with Nissan Canada about fixing the transmission under warranty but they are stalling. Quoted $4000 by the dealership to fix the car. How can a transmission fail at a little over 100000 km??? We have a Chrysler Town and Country that has 300000 km on it and still going strong!

I begged Nissan U.S. for help when my Nissan versa. 2012 transmission died with only 83k. Nothing!

Update: Nissan dealership just called me to say that Nissan USA will now honor the warranty and replace my transmission. I've been all over social media, the BBB, Dept. of Consumer Affairs, on Facebook pages of Nissan USA and my local Nissan dealership that has had my car for nearly 2 months refusing to honor the warranty. Fight the good fight, people. Once in a while it pays to be the squeaky wheel.

2009 Nissan Versa still qualifies for extended warranty (80K miles). I've been fighting with Nissan for weeks to honor the warranty but they have denied it due to "metal shavings" found in the transmission. Metal shavings are a common symptom of a bad transmission! Dealership and Nissan USA have been terrible to deal with and Nissan USA stonewalled me for weeks not returning my calls regarding my case. I am going to get my car repaired and take the dealership to small claims court.

Bought a 2013 Nissan Rogue new and two years after purchase we began experiencing deceleration and power loss when driving highway speeds 70-75 on our trip to Florida. Had to stop and let the car "rest" for an hour. Then it was fine for a while. Car had less than 80,000 miles on it. RPM go way up past 4k rpm and speed drops significantly. Called a dealership because we were in S Carolina, the service manager said to let the car rest and cool down. Can't do anything for us. Our own dealership back home said there is no issue. This happened again to us on a trip to Indiana this year 2016. Traveling 70-75 mph with cruise control on. RPM's ran up to over 4k and power loss, speed drops to 30 mph, had to go off to side of road with flashers on so a semi didn't hit us on US Route 30 in Indiana. Had to park on side of road, couldn't accelerate. After "resting the car" we started driving again, it happened again about 30 miles later, had to pull in to McDonalds to rest the car - again. Turned our 4 hour trip into a 6.5 hour trip...I WILL NOT PAY FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION on a car that is 2.5 years old!

Second CVT failed at 50,000 miles just outside 120,000 miles total on the car. When original CVT was replaced at 70,000 miles I was told that the defect was repaired in the CVT that was replacing it. Obviously that is not the case this one lasted fewer miles than the original.
