Very disappointed my 2011 nissan rogue is having the same problems as im seeing everyone complain about. Loss of acceleration and very dangerous situations i have been put in. Very unsafe and need to be dealt with. Nissan is very unprofessional not to deal with this unsafe vehicle.

On September 16 this year we headed off on a road trip from our home in Victoria, with the final destination set as the Gold Coast.
We drove our 2011 Nissan Murano, which we have owned for four years and maintained meticulously, including every single service through a Nissan servicing department, on this holiday. We have never had a problem, and even had it serviced early prior to the trip, with no issues reported.
On the way to the Gold Coast, the engine light came on, so we attended a Nissan service centre in Maitland, which ran diagnostics and reported that the error came back as the torque convertor, but that the light had gone off, and the car should be fine to drive, but if the light came back on to take it back to a service centre.
While in the Gold Coast the light came back on, and the car completely failed while we were in traffic with our two children on board – which was frightening.
We managed to get it started again and limped it to our accommodation, before taking it to the Gold Coast Nissan service centre the next day. It was eventually reported to us the car had to have the CVT completely replaced, at a cost of $11,000.
As you can imagine, this was devastating to hear while on a holiday we had saved and worked towards for a year. We were left stranded in Queensland, with no option but to fork out $1300 on one-way flights and another $300 on a hire car to get us to our country Victorian home, leaving the car behind and the Gold Coast service centre putting in a good will claim for us.
We have just been told this claim has been rejected – yet another blow. We are aware that Nissan has had major issue with CVTs in the USA, resulting in a 10 year warranty extension to cover the issue.
How on earth they can leave us high and dry is mind-boggling. They had no concern about how we were going to get home, or the fact that the car failed in a way which seems ridiculous for a car which has only just clicked over 100,000kms. We have be

I have had the transmission fail several times on trips that last longer then an hour...it can be very dangerous as its usually happening on the highway.

2011 Nissan Rogue. Stops accelerating. Whines all of the time. Skips. Undependable and scary with my two kids in the car. Have almost been hit more than once due to stalling.

I own a 2008 Nissan Rogue. First transmission went out @93,000 miles, dealer installed new transmission per warranty. LOL! Car still runs the same, just got back from Las Vegas, pretty bad when Greyhound and Megabus are able to pass you on the highway-the failsafe kicked in on the new transmission, my speed on I-15 dropped down to 40mph. Those CVT's cannot handle heat. Shame on Nissan!

My 2012 versa does not drive, I was quoted 3,600$ for a new transmission, might as well drive it in reverse everywhere, because that is the only gear working, yahooo!

I bought my 2010 nissan rouge 4 months ago and for the last 3 months the car has lost power on the highway and ive almost been hit several times. I have a 6 year old that I refuse to put in that car because it is a HUGE safety hazard. Nissan is apparently waiting for someone to be killed before they do anything. They know about the issue and they ignore it!

2010 Rogue with a A2 CVT transmission problem! Loss of power, won't move, and won't accelerate almost rear ended due to issues!!

2008 Nissan Rogue purchased new..two days ago CVT failed. Of course we are 8k over the extended warranty. Wish I had been aware of this issue beforehand so that I could have dumped it.
Worst part is, they are sell used cars with this transmission in it still.
There needs to be a Class Action Suit for this issue.

I have a 2009 Nissan Rogue I purchased new. Had acceleration and deceleration problems fairly quickly after purchasing but it would never do it when I took it in. Finally, in 2015 the transmission went completely out on me driving home from San Antonio with my kids and granddaughter in the car. Luckily was able to coast off the highway. Spent $3000 and replaced the transmission with a Nissan transmission in August of 2015. The end of July this year (2016) started having the same problems with this transmission. Was told to take it in to be looked at. The service dept. recommended a new transmission and relayed that to Nissan headquarters. Needless to say even though it was less than a year since I purchased the transmission, they would NOT replace or fix it because the yearly allowable mileage was slightly over their 12,500 mile warranty for the transmission. When I went to pick up my car, even though nothing was done, I had to pay a fee for the diagnostic test before they would give me my car back!!! I will NEVER buy another Nissan and tell everyone I know not to. Whoever heard of a transmission only having a 12,500 mile warranty. They are crooks!!!
