Bought my versa a year and a half ago. Transmission was replaced a momth ago, it went out again today! This is ridiculous and scary!

I have a 2013 Nissan Altima which has had transmission problems at forty-two Thousand Miles and now at 105,000 Mi. Nissan is now refusing to take any action and wants me to pay out-of-pocket for a car that I am still paying for. Nissan is well aware of the CVT transmission problems, yet they want to penalize the consumer for the bad craftsmanship of their vehicles. I am a three-time Nissan owner and I feel like I have been tricked for the lawyer to you that I have in Nissan. My previous Nissan vehicles had no transmission problems whatsoever. I own a 1985 300 ZX and a 1995 Nissan Maxima. The 1995 is still on the road at 22 years old with no transmission problems, yet this 2013 has had two bad Transmissions.

Cvt tranny slipped and was replaced due to issues.Nissan dealership replaced with a rebuilt tranny and now it's slipping also

2012-Nissan Altima, very dangerous when driving on the Thurway at 65 mph hour and then the car slows down and doesn't want to move. At traffic light stop, then try to accelerate and the car want to go 10 mph. Nissan dealer says its cvt transmission and lets try gluid first ($800), if that doesn't work you'll have to buy a new transmission! Only 90,000 miles.

I currently have a 2011 Nissan Maxima in which I been having problems with the transmission. I informed Nmac 2 and half years ago about issues with RPMs and shaking and idling problems and it wanted to die out. . I also noticed that the year before mine had their warranty extended for the transmission and told them about mine. They said mine was excluded even though my manufactured date is close to the years before. I know that they were using the same transmissions. Now I had it inspected again and they said that I need a new transmission. Replacement is extremely expensive, and they are only agreeing to pay partially. The recall should be extended to the 2011 Maxima as well.

I agree ! I have a 2013 Nissan Versa . Horrible! Only 4 years old !!! Have to pull over on a California freeway ALL THE TIME !

2008 Nissan Altima Coupe loses power after extended highway driving. The CVT transmission cannot handle heat. Currently fighting with Nissan to repair my transmission which is still under the 10yr/120000 mile warranty. Their behavior is shameful.

2012 Nissan versa, car stopped as we were entering a busy intersection almost got broadsided, this car is a death trap, stops, stalls, engine revs but wont go. Nissan corp, said tough out of warranty. I feel this should be a NHSA issue worse, the ford pinto .

I'm with you 100%! I've been having problems since 2 years ago and have called Nissan with no resolution from them. This needs to get resolved!

Stopped at a stop sign and waited to take a left turn into busy traffic. As I was accelerating into a rapid and busy lane the car suddenly decelrated without warning and I nearly got rear ended with my family including a 1 year old in the car. I was able to pull over to the breakdown lane while the car limped to the next business parking lot. The car will now not move in drive or reverse and has a loud whining noise. The garage I had it towed to called and says he's pretty sure the transmission is gone. My family and I could have been seriously injured due to Nissan's negligence.

I have a 2010 Nissan Altima with 102 thousand miles on it. This fell into the CVT Transmission Warranty period. How ever when my car broke down I had it toed to my mechanic who checked with Nissan and was told that the warranty was expired so he bought the replacement transmission from Nissan did the work and had Nissan program it. But when I turned in the paperwork for a refund I was denied because Nissan didn't do the work. they wouldn't even refund for the parts and it was their parts!!

I have a 2014 Nissan Versa. Took car to dealership 08/16/17 for service because car was jerking, pulling, stalling out, and failing to accelerate. Was told recall work needed to reprogram transmission control module and transmission flush recommended. Had recall work and transmission flush done. Picked up car and the very next day the car stopped on the highway and check engine light came on. Now being told transmission valve needs 2 be replaced. Read reviews. Others have stated next step is transmission replacement.

I have a 2012 Altima that cannot be driven out of town without losing acceleration and being forced to pull over for fear of being hit by cars going the speed limit. As I type this I'm waiting for a tow truck.

Have a 2014 Altima with 37k miles and transmition failed. Car shut off on me when moving down the highway and I almost died. This is a very dangerous situation
