Bought a 2014 Nissan Versa in 2014, brand new. Car shudders upon take off, after a stop. Went to have transmission flushed and mechanic said that there are severe problems with the CVT transmission and I need to take it to Nissan for a repair/diagnostic. Car stalls and hesitates after stopping. It's dangerous when you are in stop and go traffic.

What was the mileage for the second transmission failure? We just had our fixed and are worried it will do the same thing.

2013 Nissan Sentra - transmission failure at 79k miles. Nissan will not cover anything after 60k miles without extended warranty. Cost $3600+ to fix.

Yesterday 1/2/18 I purchased my third Nissan (2015 Sentra) I was driving back to Atlanta from Savannah (4 hour drive) and the transmission went out on the highway 2 hours from home I was forced to spend the night in Dublin and mind you this is my third Sentra and on every single one the transmission has went out while driving.

2011 Nissan Maximas trans went out 41000 miles on it and Nissan did not want to cover under warranty. Had to fight with Nissan Headquarters to get repair and the replacement trans is whining and I'm scared it's hoing to fail also! Nissan says there nothing wrong with it but I disagree. My vehicle only has 70000 miles on it

I purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue in December 2013 My transmission failed twice first in July 2015 and then again in August 2017 Nissan fixed it the first time but refused to fix it the second time I had the car voluntarily repoed and purchased a new vehicle I now have a law firm coming after me for the balance I can't believe Nissan continues to allow this to happen there needs to be a class action suit

Bought a 2006 Nissan Murano in august 2009 with 40,000 miles, the transmission started acting up around 70,000 miles and the ignition switch was hanging up every now and then, finally the transmission went out around 140,000 and nissan basically told me I was screwed and it would cost $5000 to fix it, I would have never bought this suv if I'v known about this problem, that Nissan is hiding, they knew about this problem for years cause some of their other models were having the same problem , and yet they still were using the same defected transmission and refusing to do anything for the customer that has been lied to and screwed over by Nissan, most people don't do research and just go ahead and sell their vehicle for what ever they can get, loosing up to $9000 in book value. For every person like me theirs ten more that didn't bother to file a complaint are join a petition and just went ahead and took a big loss.

2013 Nissan Rogue. CVT Transmission failed out of warranty. Cost $3.5k to replace. Nissan Consumer Affairs refused to consider paying for replacement transmission or admit there were any ongoing problems with CVT transmissions. And, Nissan provides only a 12,000 mile 12 month warranty on replacement transmissions!

My transmission has failed and my vehicle which I’m still making payments on for another 2 years was only 2600kms OVER the Powertrain warranty. I’m so angry at Nissan for putting faulty transmissions into their vehicles and risking lives.

2013 Versa, CVT went out at 58k miles under warranty, they fixed it no problem. But now that it's at 119k miles WITH proper maintenance they won't touch it. I know it's not under warranty anymore, but at least recognize that there's a problem if both CVTs failed at exactly 60k miles.

2013 Sentra sr failed transmission at 78,000 miles after extended warranty lapsed. No engine light warning ever turned on. Trying to see if Nissan North America can help, still waiting.

This is simply unfortunate that honest/working people are being cheated by the company of Nissan. Its pretty simple if you know that you are wrong then own up to it and fix the problem. That's the right and appropriate thing to do.
