Around 37k miles my 2015 Sentra seemed to lose power on the highway when going over 70 mph. I changed from unleaded to premium gas which seemed to do the trick for a while. Around 40k miles The issue started again but it happens more frequently. I recently had a 50k service done which I informed them of this issue. They checked the programming on my transmission to correct the issue and it seemed to run great for a week and then it started all over again yet more frequently when maintaining a speed over 70 mph. I'm planning on selling this car back to Nissan and purchasing a new one elsewhere.

My 2006 Murano's check engine light went on and got a code that says the stepper motor is bad. With UNDER 90K miles, I repeat under 90,000 miles and Nissan says I have to REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION! I'm under the extended warranty of 120,000 miles but just over the 10 year limit. That's ridiculous---what sub-par quality. Nissan--stand by your products!

My 2013 Nissan CVT transmission just failed without warning according to the technician at the nissan dealership its a hardware malfunction and nothing I could have done to prevent this. I still owe 16k on a car that will have the same issue every 100k miles or so

i have a 2013 nissan altima. I experienced some jolting/jerking while accelerating, shuddering when stationery (loud thud as if someone hit my vehicle) then stalled. It's stalled while in driving motion a number of times......took it in for recall of reprogramming CVT transmission and worked ok for bit, then back at it. How can we go about getting a class action suit against Nissan for selling vehicles with known troublesome transmission that is costing owners thousands of dollars?

Bought my Sentra, March 2015, with 18,000 from the dealer. At 58,800 in Oct 2016 needed a new transmission, luckily under the warranty. March 2017 with 69,000 again needed another transmission and again right under the warranty. Today, Jan 23, 2018, the transmission went yet again at 89,000 miles - not under warranty. As all the others have noted, a known problem with these transmissions. I would never purchase another Sentra and this is my third and never had issues with the others. The CVT transmissions are horrible, stay away from them.

My 2014 Nissan Altima just started having this issue. I was in traffic and put my foot on the gas to go and my car wouldn't do anything for a few seconds then it started to go. It scared me because I could have been hit by another vehicle. I called Nissan Consumer affairs about this issue as my car is under 100,000 miles and i shouldn't be having transmission issues. They were no help this is ridiculous.

I totally agree Nissan should stop selling those cars I owned 2 nissans with three CVT transmission replaced , I was stopped in the highway with kids with no warning. Instead they made me trade in my old car Rogue to Nissan Sentra 2014 new I bought two years ago and month ago boom transmission. They refuse to cover . I would like to find out how I. An join class lawsuit to get reimbursement. I paid bad debt out of my old car and now I would probably have another 6 months before transmission goes again

My transmission went out on the interstate! I've had the car just stop going in the middle of an intersection.
