2013 Nissan Versa with CVT- Had trouble beginning shortly after 3 year warranty ended in 2016. I took it to Nissan in Dec 2016 to have diagnostic done, but it they contributed issue to a heat shield issue... noise and banging calmed down after visit, but resumed shortly thereafter. Fast forward to Father's Day 2017 and it stopped accelerated on the highway. Gratefully the highway was not busy and I was able to pull to the side of the highway with my small children in the car and pregnant. After having it towed to my house and checked by a mechanic, I was told it was my transmission (SPOILER ALERT)! I want to have it repaired, but I'm sure a new transmission would be trash as well so that would defeat the purpose. Nissan needs to be held accountable for this greatly defected transmission.

Another lawsuit needs to happen. There’s a Facebook page, Nissan CVT transmission. We all should join so we can communicate with each and find a lawyer to do a class action against Nissan. I have 2013. Transmission kept acting up. Finally got it fixed yesterday. Don’t know if it’ll work. But bc I purchased an extension on the warranty Nissan is wanting me to pay a deductible saying that the fix wasn’t covered on the extended warranty provided by the 2015 lawsuit. That’s not true. WE NEED TO STAND UP TO NISSAN as a WHOLE.

I have a 2013 Altima and my transmission just went out on me last thursday March 8,2018 on the way to work on the fwy. with only 65K miles on it. I just dealt with consummer affairs and they came to the dealer today Mar. 13, 2018 to look at it and said they will not be doing anything!! I am uterly disgusted with Nissan at this point and am looking into getting a lawyer. They said it will be $4K to fix it plus I will also be out another $215 for the rental car I am in for the next week.
This is a serious problem Nissan has with their cars and something needs to be done!! NO ONE should be replacing a Transmission in their car with only 65K miles!!

I had a 2015 and I had to trade it in because it had problems. I have a 2016 now. Nissan is on thin ice. Stop thinking about quantity and put more quality into your workmanship can use better quality products, Steeles and materials

I have a 2014 sentra brought brand new. And I have been having problems that the dealership ignored from the beginning. Now I'm out of my extended warranty and I'm hearing my car slipping and jerking my transmission is going out. It Will cost me 4000 to fix and I'm still paying a note on it..
Ps. Every time I went into the dealership another unhappy customer was there with transmission problems. Also my grandfather brought an Altima and returned it 1 month later because the car was acting up slipping and the dealership refused to fix it.

My 2012 Nissan Sentra SE-R has almost 106k miles and my transmission stalled. Wouldn’t shift out of 1 or 2nd gear. Stayed at 40mph at 3000rpms. Pissed.

2013 Rogue suddenly started to whine and then the transmission went out. I have taken excellent care of this vehicle and now it has to have a new transmission because it is a CVT.

My 2013 Nissan Sentra needs a new transmission at 63k and Nissan says tough luck you are 3k out of warranty. They know this transmission has problems but are failing to address it!
