2013 Nissan Sentra, bought new. Car jerking, losing power. Called Nissan said needed to have CVT reprogrammed. I drove one block from dealership after reprogramming and car started jerking and losing power. Took back to dealership was told I would have to pay for diagnostic testing. First Nissan representative I talked to told me car was covered under extended 10 year/ 120000 mile warranty. I called Nissan again when I got home after reprogramming failed to fix problems. This representative would not let me speak to the previous representative that told me I was covered. Representative told me I could join a class action lawsuit and so I did. I also filed a complaint with the NHTSA and will file complaints with the Kentucky Attorney General and the BBB.

2014 Nissan Altima. Replaced transmission at 182k. Other problems include poor gas mileage (have all receipts Since bought) brochure said 55mpg has been consistently 35mpg. Have original brochure as proof. Also surface rust started at 14 months old

Had transmission replaced and cooler added in 2014 through Nissan recall (that they didn't bother to tell anyone about). 4 years later, and I'm beginning to have the same issues with my Rogue, but Nissan is telling me that they only waranteed my 2nd transmission for one year...how does that make any sense, except that they know the CVT is worthless!

I have a 2012 Nissan Murano with the same problems. When it is hot the CVT whines, RPMS increase over 4000 when not under load and check engine light comes on. I have also experienced sluggishness.

I have a 2012 Nissan Altima which is having problems with the CVT transmission. With that being said, I had no warning no lights to inform me that my car was having a problem in order to get it repaired or fixed without causing any major issues with the transmission. That being said as well the car is creating a problem on the highway with safety issues. In heavy traffic on the interstate the car looses power and creates a backup in traffic along with stopping and going.

Bought brand new from Nissan dealership 2013 Sentra SR, just hit 60,000 miles. Car is serviced regularly. On June 11th, 2018 car has a complete transmission failure, which resulted in personal injury.

Purchased from Hertz in 12/2013, trans went bad when weather heated up. Nissan put a "cooler" on the transmission. Now, 07/2018, same symptoms with "check engine" on. 3 codes reading, needs to be replaced with same transmission. Shame on Nissan for continuing the use of this bad trans.Local trans. mechanic, $3600.00, sayys Nissan keeps rebuilt on hand since they know the problem. 3rd Nissan for me, never again.
