Please consider treating the students with more dignity and with respect as though they are and can be mature young adults. If a student is distractable, it is not going away by limiting the clothing worn by other students. The distractable student is accountable for learning the class subject and going on to successfully complete the curriculum; this is the true effort and test of a successful student, not what they are wearing.

We believe in a lot of things in life. Our religions,Our cultures, and Our goals, We strive to stand up for what we believe in and if you love our determined minds... Why are you trying to bring us down??

Instead of enforcing a dress code that obviously does work how about teach the students to RESPECT one another. It is only distracting if you teach children that!

When you send a girl home from school because her shorts are too "short", or her nike shorts are immodest, you are telling her that hiding your body is more important than her education. You are telling her that making sure the boys have a distraction-free learning enviroment, is more important than her education. In a way, you are telling her that the boys are more entitled to an education than she is. and that is unacceptable- anonymos. Nike shorts arent worn for a distraction.. They are worn simply because they are comfortable and sporty. We shouldn't be held back from wearing shorts.. Especially in the Texas weather.

The Nike shorts in question aren't cut offs, they don't have holes, they aren't provocative, and it is still nearly 100 outside. They are a reasonable and conservative choice for girls.

My daughter graduated from RRHS last year. Dress code was not an issue. My son is a senior at RRHS this year. Bring some sanity back to the dress code!

I fully support this cause. No one should be subjected to wear things they do not want to wear. Cloths should be worn in a moral and culturally accepted manner. As in the majority will decide what is a norm. Not a group of people who do not know current up to date social Norms.

I agree. Because teachers can wear it to. Why just restrici students from wearing it.
