I as a parent find this type of behavior from school officials offensive..school dtess code should be monitored as students enter school property not after school has already started and disrupting the learning process. We send our children to school to be educated and not humiliated or embarrassed ..furthermore this tells parents that their parenting skill suck.. bcs we as parents if we felt that the clothes that are bought for our children are going to cause a distraction will and would not be bought..this reflects on the parents and we as a whole should be outraged at these actions to send children to detention for this.

If your cheerleaders, dance and drill team are all in violation then they too should be sent home and their uniforms which are paid by their school and parents should clearly not be allowed as they are too short and inappropriate. If you have them place their hands by their side you can see they are too should not be wearing their team uniforms. Team spirit or not right is right. Make it across the board or NOT at all.

Well I am a freshman at Round Rock High School this year and I am so proud to be a dragon! I never ever wear shorts to school or at home because I have never had the confidence to. If I did have the confidence then I would. I would never try to violate any type of dress code. All of my life I haven't ever violated dress code and I never plan to. I do think that the students should be able to

I am a mother of two sons and a daughter -
I can assure you the boys have all seen legs before and are not distracted by athletic shorts.
We should be preparing our kids for college - do we think they get dresscoded in college? I truely hope admin starts to show more support of the kids - lets worry about the bigger issues that we all know RR has....

Do you know how hard it is to fine shorts now adays to fit your dress code ? It's hot out here in Texas were gonna wear Nike shorts there not provocative I'm tiered of this schools dress code and I believe it needs a change

To the administration, go get a life. Perhaps you could do your job and not be dicks. Maybe help the students get educated. That sounds like a good idea. Thats what we're here for right? Or are we here to be shamed in front of everyone for the length of shorts, or the width of our sleeves. I can't wait to leave Round Rock High School, and get into the real world, where there is no dress code. You know why? Because no one cares. Get off your power trip and do your job. You're the distraction Ms. Nichols.

Stop the hypocrisy, any equivalent outfit that is allowed on the football field half time show should be allowed in school. This is a public school, not a private reform school. Political correctness has gone too far!
