Nifty Kids Plea to Save our Park!

Really upset regarding the news of demolition. Why? Both my children loved this park and many other children. Always used for Easter Egg hunts n many other occasions

I don't understand why they are even thinking about demolishing this park.I use it every day to take my great granddaughter to the swings.

Needs a good facelift and long time coming. Do not take away another amenity that our rates pay for!

Please save this park . My 2 children spent many hours playing there and went to all saints church in Wales school and we all used to meet up there and the same continues. Lots of elderly & others use the park regularly & is much loved . Please do not get rid of this special invaluable place

Always been there for me

Both parks desperately need renewing like all the other playgrounds have been. They are the worst playgrounds in Barry!!

I use this most days

It would be such a shame to see another park in our local area demolished. Where are our children supposed to play?? My children use the park every day to and from school. Please don't take it away! Update it!!

Having lived in Cwm Talwg for 30 this park was used by myself and friends on many occasions, now it's the turn of our children. Park to play on, greenery to kick a ball, why would you take that away I ask???

My daughter uses this park daily and would really miss it if it was taken away

My children use this park everyday on the way to and from school. It would be disgraceful if this park were to be demolished as there are no other parks within walking distance that could be used. Even though the equipment is extremely old and worn the park is really well used by children from the school and the playgroup/ after school club that uses the community centre on the same site. The park definitely needs to be updated and I'm sure this would support many aims and objectives within the local authorities corporate plan.

Please don't take this away from all the children that enjoy it

A very much used and loved play area in an area of Barry where there aren't many outdoor play areas. Keeping it is a must

Vital outdoor space for the after school club & families.

So many parks in the run down areas of the vale yet nothing in the west end.

We should be encouraging outdoor play more not taking it away. Shame on you council.

We should be encouraging more outdoor play not limiting it by demolishing community playgrounds. The bigger picture needs to be taken into consideration such as the positive impact outdoor play has on the health and wellbeing of children and even the parents and long term benefits rather than just the cheapest option at the time.
