It was a “no” three years ago. It’s still a “no” now. MacDonald’s is so far away from sustainable, healthy living let alone the impact the extra cars will have on the local infrastructure.
An obvious wrong location. Are there any positives to the community!

This would be a terrible decision if it were to go ahead on environmental grounds, health grounds and safety concerns. There are 4 schools within 100 m of this site ..

This location is inappropriate given the proximity to two large schools in terms of both a healthy lifestyle for young people and the increase in traffic right next to a school crossing. This is not a message we should be sending to our children.

Increase in traffic and disturbances to the local community who are willing to stay in country side. Certainly this will impact our environment as well.

Als omwonende in buurt van de Leuvensesteenweg vind ik dat een ‘snelwegrestaurant’ niet thuis hoort in onze woon- en schoolomgeving. De druk op de lokale mobiliteit is nu al te groot door sluipverkeer, en dus gevaarlijk voor onze spelende kinderen. Extra (vracht)verkeer door een McDo is een aanfluiting van elke logica. Er zijn ook gezondheidsrisico’s voor schoolgaande kinderen, wees een studie van Scienscano uit.

No fast-food close to schools. It is of the responsibility of local authorities to protect young people against easy and unhealthy food consumption.
