So disappointed to have another application from McDonalds - it is intrinsically inappropriate to have such a business in this area, for health, safety and environmental reasons.

Als dichtbij woonende buur en jongere vind ik dit een heel slechts idee op alle vlakken. Ik zie geen voordeel dat dit zou brengen aan de gemeente.

Grotere kans op verkeershinder, gevaarlijke situaties voor voetgangers en fietsers. Zwerfvuil.

In the last three years since the first petition, there have not been significant enough changes that could substantially favour the establishment of a McDonalds now. Surrounding roads continue to be prone to traffic congestion which can be extremely dangerous to all the young children that walk to the schools nearby. Additionally, it is clear from the last petition that there is an overwhelming sentiment among the Tervuren community that we don’t want a McDonalds so close. Not to mention the impact that it would have on the park. The increased littering, the worsened air quality, the decreased property values, and everything that makes Tervuren a treasure of natural beauty and cultural importance has been threatened by, and continues to be, by an establishment that could never appreciate the values of our unique community.

This should be rejected again and for all future attempts. McDonald’s does not belong in a beautiful town like Tervuren and especially not across from a school. It will result in smells, traffic, litter, and lots of loitering.
