No one can afford to I’ve in New Haven with this extreme increase in taxes. There’s just so much you can expect the property owners to pay. Enough is enough Mayor Harp.

My family and I are opposed to the tax increase. The city must reduce spending and maintain control of finances. The taxpayers deserve accountability. Mayor Harp, do you not see that you are destroying our beloved city. We are already burdened with over 50% of tax exempt properties. You cannot keep raising taxes on the people of New Haven. Are you doing this on purpose to make people leave?

New Haven needs a responsible budget which must be based on a competent and professional management audit to ensure that positions are maintained or created only to ensure measurable outcomes

In the past 15 years we've seen our property tax Double! I'm concerned New Haven is reaching a financial breaking point. Something's got to give. We need a leader that can reign in the spending dramatically.

This is ridiculous. Salaries do not increase at the same rate that taxes do. This is forcing people out of their homes, and quickly, here in New Haven. It is also becoming more difficult to keep homes updated as taxes increase so rapidly, which is not good for neighborhoods. How do they expect people can keep up with all this extra cost?

Please tell me what we are getting for this increase? And how are some getting raises at our expense for no apparent reason? This is just greed or terrible accounting priorities. I am not voting for this administration again.

This increase is just insane. How do we pass this along to excellent tenants suddenly. I called the tax office last month to find out the increase so I could do my leases, no one had an amount, and slam, we get the news this week in the mail. This is unfair and adjust. Totally unfair and totally oppose!
