This is an outrage I think the mayor is looking out for her friends in which she hired at inflated salaries when she took office. Her husband was a thief and a slum lord and she is turning into a thief why is it that not one political figure in ct can be trusted with our money

City executives should not grant themselves pay increases even as their performance lags by generally recognized measures of city management excellence, and as they damage property values and attractiveness to business with high property taxes.

How will NBew Haven survive if the middle class is forced out? Who will pay the taxes? Fewer & fewer people are paying higher & higher taxes. It's unsustainable!

Living on Social Security, retired, how can I afford 11% increase? These are my golden years....wondering who next vulture will be after what little I have. And then to be slapped in the face with the ridiculous and excessive pay raises!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!!

Great neighborhood mostly still but these increases in taxes are going to force people to leave New Haven. East Shore seems to get shortchanged especially where parks (East Shore and Fort Hale) are concerned. We should get at least park cleanup for our tax dollars.

We bought a home in New Haven to invest in the city, counting on its commitment to the public schools, services and sustainability. None of that has proved true in the 5 years we have lived here--the tax increase is making it almost impossible for us to continue to live here. If this goes forward, we-like many other families--will be pushed out. This is NOT a good long term outcome for the city's health.

You are forcing people to move out of the city. People who elected you. Next owners may not b so forgiving. Budget should have been changed Eliminating raises for all high level officials.
