As Time Warner Cable subscribers, we are extremely disappointed that you are not carrying the NFL Network as live NFL games begin. These games represent the most prominent and desirable content available on cable television as evidenced by ESPN's 10 to 20 million weekly viewers for this season's Monday Night Football. The primary obstacle in the negotiations by all accounts is Time Warner's insistence that this channel and these live NFL games be carried on a premium sports package with a high monthly subscription fee. It is past time for Time Warner to drop this unreasonable demand that prevents its customers from receiving this compelling programming. Time Warner's posturing would be better directed at negotiating the best possible price for all of its subscribers to receive this channel. We urge you to immediately drop your insistence for the NFL Network on a special sports package, and seek to achieve the best possible pricing for all of your subscribers. Dropping your stance on this issue will undoubtedly lead to a quick agreement and minimize the number of these NFL games that your customers will miss. We strongly urge you to drop this stance and secure us the NFL Network immediately.
