Broomball QLD runs out of Townsville, which has produced some of Australia's best players. Would hate to see that talent now go to waste.

I use to go there all of the time when I was little, Townsville won't be the same without an ice rink !

I have never been as i didnt know Townsville had a ice ring (moved here 2yrs ago) but to find out it is closing is very sad as i never got to go or take my children!
Open the doors dont close on people dreams!

The Warina Ice Rink has been around for a lot of my childhood memories, and it will be terrible to see it go! So many great things/people have happened within that ice rink, and we need to keep it going! Either that, or get a new one where new memories and champions can be made!

Having grown up in Melbourne and my whole family skating.
It is sad that ice rinks are closing because of how expensive it is to run them

this facility helps to keep kids off the street and maybe away from the computer for a while.

i think the council should look at this to help the community as this is childrens dreams being taken away also a great sporting facility for all ages. might actually be great to see the council put the money helping the community instead of wasting it on useless roundabouts on thuringowa dr.

We need more rinks in aus, to have the correct facilities for the feature to train in. Having a new rink here allows the possibility of having a team in the AIHL as well, which QLD is missing from at present. But at the end of it all its about kids and having fun. with out these rinks there is no fun for them.

i practically used to live there. it was one of the only places i could go and be myself, have fun and just forget about the world
