I often went to the Warrina Ice Skating Rink as a teenager, and have visited several times as an adult. It is sad for this activity to no longer be an option for Townsville residents.

The ice skating rink has always been an amazing place to hang out and I would be severely disappointed if it were to close. It's a classic spot to hang out with friends and the atmosphere of the place is just amazing. If it were to close permanently it would be a tragedy to the whole region. Please keep it open!

This place kept me straight as a teenager, I'm now 31, and if I didn't go there every weekend when I was a teen, I would have been a bong smoker and had nothing to do. Just like many of my school friends who didn't indulge in this proactive activity!! Now I own 2 businesses, am married, have 2 kids and a house, and I'm so happy I had somewhere positive to spend my time whilst I was young! It's so hot in Townsville too! Keep it!

My son has gone there the last two months every Friday and Saturday night and loved it. In doing so I have seen a change in him in getting out of the house with his mates. It would be very sad for Townsville not to have one. There is not much left in Townsville for our teens these days. When I was a teen I was at Willows Water World every weekend with family or friends. So what do we have these days ? Not much at all.

Lived in Townsville for 1 year and every Friday the ice rink was my escape from the heat being a kiwi girl it was my way of looking forward to my end of week cool down.

My father helped set up that Ice rink it's been apart of the townsville community for over 30yrs. It's a shame the current owners who
Have had it for 20plus yrs don't want to keep it going. However I do believe a bigger rink is needed and this should be considered.

Take my kids there on the weekends and it is fairly small ...especially when there is a good crowd there

To miss a chance to participate in ice sports is criminal. Townsville needs a place like this if it wants to grow as a city.
