New Skatepark for Indianapolis

Grew up skating mall parking lot's and getting harassed by the powers that be. Would not to like my children to have to break the law to pursue healthy exercise. Major Taylor skatepark is 25 years old. Times change, Update for the next generation

I hope this is the first of many. The next generation needs more support from our city. Skateparks make a big difference.

quality time with my son is hitting skate parks on nice days and weekends the skate park although everyone waits a turn is packed and hard to put good runs together it would be great to add on to or build another park there is a lot of talent here in Indy they need room to grow

I strongly believe we need a new skate park here in indy the parks we have are amazing but I feel it would improve the skating here in indy if we had a new park. and a indoor park as well

I appreciate what y'all do since I joined the army all I want to do is give back to skateboard community.

Build something that's at least 12' deep and/or a VERT ramp. Indy's terrain is all tiny.

Hire the right builders!

Providing the community with a safe place to skate is a great idea.

Skate parks are rarely without people using them, even in the winter time. Go look around at any basketball baseball soccer tennis court and most likely they won't be occupied.

I spent most of my life skating in Indy! I was a part of the original INDY SKATE PARK in 1978 I would love to be a part of facilitating this project!

We need this. Too much of youth these days are inside playing video games. We need to show that there can be fun outside as well.

it's awesome what they indy skate park advocates are doing for the Indy skateboards it shows us that some people actually care about us enough to actually put forth the effort to give us more places to skate and advance our skill and give us more challenges and I would love to thank the Indy skate park advocates for showing how much the care about the skateboarding family in Indianapolis

Long over due for sure. This is what INDY NEEDS. STOKED FOR INDY SKATERS.

We could use more skateparks to help keep younger skateboarders and bmxers off of the streets and in safer environments to skate, at the same time a main part in skating is the streets, but Indianapolis is a difficult place to find places that are good spots that police wont interfere at.

Always need more parks! They keep skaters from getting hurt on the streets skating and would you rather know that kids are in a park skating, or god knows were doing things people don't wanna know about.

i was a skater back home in indy. now i am a soldier after my deployment to iraq i should be coming home soon to see my family and would love to enjoy new skate parks.

I think it would be great as long as both bikes and skateboards are allowed.

I feel this would be a Great Improvement to our city for the kids, and those of us adults that still ride and won't let go of our childhood.

We need more skate parks in Indiana. This would be good for a lot of skaters starting out, due to the fact some may not be able get transportation to curtain skateparks

The park would be a positive environment for children and young people to spend their time.

Been skating for most of my youth and even pick up my board from time to time at age 29. Skateboarding kept me busy physically and mentally. I ended up making some life long friends too. It was something that kept me off drugs and alcohol at a young age because I needed a clear mind that in order to pull off tricks and not hurt myself. Skateboarding is an amazing activity especially if you have a fun and safe place to go do it at. We need more skateparks!

Hope this moves forward! Indianapolis needs more inner city parks. Better yet an official skatepark of Indianapolis.

Indiana needs more skate parks, especially with the rise in street bmx and skate,a well built street plaza would be good for bmx riders, skate boarders, and the city of Indianapolis.

This would help "us" as skates out so much and we would be greatly appreciative

I think it's important to offer our kids someplace to go to do this activity and keep them from getting in trouble.

I have been riding all of my life and would live to see a new park ! It would be sick and keep these guys off the streets

I have lived in Indy almost all my life and our community is long overdue for a new skatepark.

We need it

I bmx, kids and adults even need places to go to ride (bmx, scooter, skate, rollerblade) i live about a half hour from the closest skate park which is in terre haute indiana, im there most of my days off and most of the days after i work. Kids are riding bikes and skate boards 20, 30 miles just so be able to ride then at the end of their long day they have to pedal or push their way back home, we need to make it easier for the kids that want to stay active to keep active and safe.

I would love to see this happen. I love skateboarding and I know this will positively influence youth in the area and keep them busy having clean safe fun.

Skateboarding is such an important part of some kids life and not all of them can make it to the other parks
