Our military and law enforcment are required to undergo such evaluations before carrying a firearm and I dont feel it should be different for citizens. This is about protecting the safety of our nation. I don't believe the right to own a firearm should be taken away, just more regulated. This nation has an obligation to protect the safety of it's citizens which we aren't doing by handing out deadly weapons to people we know nothing about their psychological state at the time. This would not take away rights but simply protect the rights and safety of others. Please sign this petition and hopefully we can prevent the loss of a lot of inocent lifes.
