We, the undersigned, believe that there should be a new 11 and 12 year old all-star softball manager-coach representing the STGBRS League. We believe that it is in our(league/area's) best interest to find a coach/manager that represents us with integrity, respect and character. Teams in the past, including our 2010-2011 team were a watered-down version as several parents felt uncomfortable allowing their daughters participate with the manager-coach that was selected. Therefore their daughters were not allowed to try out for the All-Star team. In fact, the 2010 manager even called girls that didn't go to tryouts to offer them positions. Even then the parents did not allow their children to participate. There have been several reports of demeaning comments, favoritism and vulgarities being used that should not be part of youth sports. We believe that it is in the best interest of our children to have leadership that promotes a high level of learning and sportsmanship throughout their developing years.
