The hall provides as a great asset for the local community. With many events hosted throughout the year, which are also free, I know it therefore makes it difficult to find the money to complete refurbishments. We would be lost without the support of the hall at the Christmas Lights Switch On and other events, such as marking the Jubilee.

Walmsley Parish Hall is of enormous value to the local community and is used by 'non-church' events more than by the church itself. The building has recently been maintained externally to retain its integrity, but the public facilities internally are desperately in need of full upgrade, they not having been touched for well over 30 years. Buildings are even more costly to upkeep and maintain these days, so a grant is even more needed to retain and update an important focus for the local community.

Hygiene is of great importance as proved over the last two years during the covid problems. With the huge mix of ages from pro school to the over 65's this becomes much more relevant.
