New Skatepark for Norfolk
Norfolk Nebraska is in need of a new skatepark. A committee and non-profit are dedicated to attempting to raise funds with private donations and contributions to do just that. We would like the city of Norfolk Nebraska to help pay for new lighting, proper bathroom facilities, and access to fresh water at this sporting arena and venue. Please sign the petition if you believe that the city should help pay for this venture. It will be a huge attraction bringing people to our town that will boost the economy. Our current park is poorly illuminated with outdated lights, has no access to fresh water, and has current portatoilets which are unacceptable to most spectators and riders. This is not to force the city's hand but to see what kind of support is behind us. The current park is in bad shape and local committee members, citizens, riders/shredders, and parents think it is time for something new. The water and sewer lines that did exist until the new parking lots were done were ripped out and should be replaced at the cities expense. This is an extreme sport and access to water is a must as is proper lighting and bathroom facilites. The committee and non-profit are prepaired to raise the money for a new park and would expect the city of Norfolk Nebraska to contribute to replacing the infrastructure that was removed and replace the lighting that are out dated. This would create a top notch skatepark for bmxers and skaters to promote the scene and host events that would create a large draw of people from across Nebraska and the Mid-West. Please sign the petition to help create a New Skatepark for Norfolk. Thank you.
