I agree with the petitioners explanation as to why this ruling is unfair. As an independent contractor, I should have the final say in my marketing strategies as long as my broker agrees

I, as an agent, prefer the agent's name to be larger so I know who to contact..not really caring who the brokerage is because I will be communicating with that agent. The brokerage logo/name should be on the sign but not necessarily as large as the agents name.

This is an over bearing reach on the government's behalf

The decision on signage and the size of the broker's name should remain with the broker. Why do you want to hurt our businesses and require us to spend thousands of dollars in new signage?

The legislature should not restrict signs. The over reach has no basis in real life needs of the consumer.

Is this 'good intentions' at the expense of real estate agents? Or, the pretense of 'consumer protection' used to force agents to pay to advertise their broker? If this law is not rescinded, agents on the fence regarding staying with their broker or leaving their broker to become a broker will be leaving. This law caused me to investigate becoming a broker – It’s not that difficult and the payoff is there!

Agent branding is very crucial to my business, the brokerage does nothing for my business.

Sign companies must have paid officials to get this thru so they can make us all buy their stupid signs. Why do I want to advertise my office name and number more than my own name and number.t is my hard work that gets me the listing.

As usual, our industry is going back to the dark ages. The real estate industry tried to stop dissemination of listing and sold information, and Zillow came along and provided what consumers wanted. We need to give consumers what they want. They don't want to call a brokerage and talk to a Realtor that doesn't know anything about the house they called on. They want to talk to the Listing agent who knows the house. Until our industry has much higher standards, it's the specific agent that consumers want to talk with. The last thing they want is a "floor" agent who is brand new, untrained, with no market knowledge. The agents that are spending lots of money branding themselvs generally have the experience, and market knowledge that today's educated consumer wants. This bill is all about taking away control from the agent and giving it to the Broker. When I asked for a copy of the consumers that have complained, I was told there really wasn't a list but they wanted to prevent it from ever happening.

Branding is an essential part of what we do. Without our name attached it's all for not!

This law actually decreases competition by putting more emphasis on the broker and less on the agent. All agents are 1099 self employed and creating brand and image is critical in building our personal identity. This law is unfair and serves no purpose other than creating larger companies controlling business and hurting small business. Please repeal this law.

Unnecessary and poor legislation. People buy homes using the AGENTS they love and trust. Not the name of a brand.
