The fitness center located in the Smith Field house on BYU campus has a capacity of 95 students at a time with a student population of over 33,000 students. This causes many problems of overcrowding, safety concerns, lack of exercise equipment, and unavailability of RB gyms and the indoor track due to classes, university events, and activities. The fitness center is meant to be an area for students to increase their overall well-being and maintain their physical health, but how are you expected to achieve that when you have to wait 20 minutes just to use a treadmill? Sign this petition in support of a new recreation center on campus! You won't regret it in a few years.
