Waste of money & dangerous for both cyclists & motorists! I saw a pedestrian shout at a young girl for using the cycle lane as he walked on same path!!! Looked like he was telling her NOT to cycle on path!!!

Just as all the cars are getting bigger some idiot decides to narrow our road. The cycle path is impractical and now the road (Terrace Rd) is dangerous for everyone. I'm seething about what a complete and utter waist of money this is. Only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs... .

Cyclists are not using the new lanes. They continue to use the now narrower road. The building of these lanes caused an unbelievable amount of disruption and they are not being used.

Agree with all the comments made. Traffic is now even worse in Walton which makes me tend to avoid it now for shopping etc. I'm sure this is going to affect local businesses where customer choose to shop elsewhere.

Ridiculous idea, cycles will never use the cycle path unless they are under 5, and if they were to, pedestrians would be walking in the hedges in parts. Cars are fined for driving in bus lanes perhaps cycles should be fined for not being in the cycle lane.

I'm a car driver, a scooter rider an occasional cyclist and a pedestrian and from none of these perspectives is this waste of money and space a good idea.

This has made the road just too dangerous. A tragedy will happen!

To dangerous the roads are smaller and the cyclists still use the road. We pay road tax cyclist don't so why are they getting more space and we have more pot holes and smaller roads not fair at all

The most ridiculous idea no cyclists are using them and sharing a path with pedestrians is ridiculous, how many children walk in a straight libe? You also have cars parking on pavements over Walton bridge so cyclists have to change to the pedestrian lanes or jump into the road. I dont think ive seen any cyclists using terrace road they just make the now narrow road even narrower. Perhaps if you had asked thecyclists before you did it....total waste of money .

Also the reduced width at traffic lights makes the 2 lanes in Hepworth Way dangerous

I was moments away from a head on collision with a van overtaking a cyclist. I had a car full of children and has to slam on brakes to avoid the head on collision and then almost got hit from behind. If ever a legal case due to an accident there is enough put forward to the council for duty of care which needs to be rectified. The council can not hind behind the fact they were not aware and planning will be scrutinised by which time it will be too late for some poor souls.

Totally agree. Been saying from the start of the works that the cyclists will not use it any way and one of them will get seriously injured. Also been saying that it's such a bad idea ( other than looks better ) that someone must of taken a back hander to authorise these works!!
