I'm worried about children walking to school and getting knocked down by a cyclist

I also think is a danger as I think
cyclists will knock over and injure children as the pavement/cycle path is dual purpose. Complete waste of money !!

My mother was killed in a car and bike accident on molesey road and I would hate this to happen anywhere else, I frequently use terrace road and have seen far to many near misses and fully agree with the statement above

I completely agree with this petition, I can't imagine who thought this idea up but it is a disgrace that, our money was spent on such a unless project. And to look a the work that has been carried out, to be honest it even looks like it was put together by a bunch of amateurs....

Whoever came up with this dangerous scheme must be totally brain dead, it's a serious accident waiting to happen.

Children who do use them do not stop and look when crossing a road. They think they have the right of way against motorists.

This is a very dangerous project. turning out of sidney road left in to terrace road is now a tight corner, pushing traffic into the narrow lane at the roundabout. cyclists cannot us the path due to high number of side roads and now make using terrace road all the more dangerous.

Total waste of money, fix the potholes instead. Too many professional cyclists through Walton - the dropped curbs and slant on the pavement prevent fast paced cyclists using this new "improvement". The cyclists now have abuse hurled at them for using the road, even though they never asked for this.

Cyclists on the pavement a very bad idea. What about the deaf, blind, elderley and children. Very dangerous. Cyclists already go through red lights and think they are above the law. God knows what will happen now they can ride on pavements. And who's paying for it. Why do cyclists not have to pay a tax the same as car drivers.

The cycle lanes are a completely ridiculous waste of money! I've seen so few cyclists on them, and the narrowing of lanes for car drivers - especially outside little Waitrose is not only dangerous, but it forces each car to be pushed over into the next lane!

This is a waste of money spent of all times in Surrey roads and as for safety it's even worse I've seen 2 people use the cycle lane and that's about out of 20 cyclist I've seen every day on my commute now the roads are narrow it won't be long before some one is really injured on these roads and of course not taking into count the traffic it's causing as the road are to narrow for larger vehicles to pass.

I think the council have managed to unite motorists and cyclists, neither wanted this, I'm sure both would have been happy with a marked lane and a parking ban along Terrace Road. What we have now is worse than what was before.
