Give me, a Metairie resident another reason to NOT go downtown. Parking is limited enough, with the overflow lots charging WAY to much!! Makes me wonder if the parking lot companies aren't helping Landrieus 2020 Governors Campaign.... If the Mayor parked his own car, he'd know that this is NOT good for working class people who's work and purchases help the FQ and Downtown thrive!! SAY NO TO PARKING RATE INCREASES!!

My husband works in the quarter and is unable to feed a meter throughout his shift. This would mean we have to pay an immeasurable number of parking tickets just so he can go to work. Ludicrous

I work in the Quarter and the Warehouse District as a gardener for residents and several museums. Parking already is inconvenient and I pass the costs onto my clients. I also enjoy visiting the Quarter for fancy dinner from time to time and always plan to come after 6pm. By extending the hours and raising the rates you'd be discouraging actual residents from accessing entire parts of the city. This would further "Disney-afy" the Quarter, holding it as a museum for tourists instead of a part of our city for everyone.
