I work in the French Quarter pretty much 6 days a week. I am NOLA local. This increase in the rates + extended hours does nothing to help locals. I find it appalling that this is happening in our city, and there was no vote.

Stop some of the clubs from putting garbage cans and barricades in front of their buildings. That's public property.

As a former french quarter bartender, this is an outrage! When Premium parking bought up all of the garages that the people in the service industry uses, we were forced to start taking cabs and car-pooling or risk getting robbed after our shift because we would have to park so far away. I have an idea. How about getting some people in the Department of Revenue that know how to use a calculator. I am an accountant now and was shocked when I visited City Hall. I figured out at least one contributor to the city's finances being in such shambles. The department of revenue is a joke.

This is extortion. As a person who works in the CVB in the service industry, paying to park is an everyday thing. If the rates go up like they hope, I'll have to get a second job just to be able to afford to park.

How dare you! You MAY NOT lean on your citizens anymore! You sell our roads to any "movie" entity at a discount..take our parking, ruin our roads..never fix them! Start a zillion projects at once and leave them sit, obstructing our roads! NO, if you want to raise money feather in a tax on tourist and movie companies .. Let's start with 10 bucks a head!
