It's already hard enough; let's not make it impossible to make a living (for ourselves AND the city...hello tourism industry?!?!?)

Isn't there another way to help out our most New Orleans Ambassadors than a hike rake on Parking meters?

First the ferry and now this. The hardest hit will be Hospitality workers. How can I expect someone that I need for a 10 hour shift to pay $30 a day for parking? It's unreasonable and detrimental to the very industry that keeps this city thriving.

I live in the FQ. Everyday is another challenge to find parking. Plugging a meter til 10 would be a nightmare. When will this administration stop punishing residents. Andy Kopplin has never had to suffer with street parking so why does he get to make new rules. Where did he come from anyway?

This has got to be stopped! No consideration for the people who work in the French Quarter.

stop trying to line your pockets with MORE MONEY. The parking situation is already ridiculous and expensive!

AND re-evaluate the bidding process or rather the selection process for the WTC lease. Throwing away billions in corporate money to help a buddy out & then turn around and bleed the working class residents dry because the city is broke is asinine. Bye New Orleans.

This shouldn't even be a thing. Way to go, NOLA.

Raise my parking by 400.00, prices may be on point with larger cities, but our wages are still the same.

Too many reasons to list as to why raising parking prices is soooo unacceptable

This is unnecessary and another slap in the face from the business that is city government.

If the city is in need of a few million dollars, there are PLENTY of overpaid politicians who can afford a pay cut.

The parking rate increase will hurt service industry workers and local tourism.

A short term fix that puts the burden on the people. What about asking folks to help upgrade our public transportation infrastructure. Busses running on time and drivers not stopping for lunch while driving passengers. How about express streetcars during work travel hours in morning and night. Reduce amount of cars and have a consistent revenue stream that goes straight from Citizens to city.
