I've parked on metered spaces at least 5 times on the past month & paid $1 each for three of those spaces. Seems fair enough. No changes need to be made to hour or cost. The city is making enough money off red light tickets at $135 a piece.

There has to be other ways for the city to make money without making it ever more difficult for locals to work in, visit and participate in our own city's prized destinations.

It's also about time that parking updates include musicians' loading zone sings and tags. As the heartbeat of the city, musicians deserve to have their needs be integrated into the city's infrastructure in this and other ways. Too often musicians feel they must temporarily park illegally to avoid threatening their livlihood by hauling their instruments and sound equipment sometimes several blocks just to earn their living.

This is a horrible thing to do to the citizens of the greater New Orleans area. Lots of people are already afraid to come to the city because of skyrocketing crime and now you want them to pay to park on the street until 10pm. You must sincerely not want anyone out and about in the city. It's disgraceful.

This is bad for l9cal, small businesses...it's not just the people who shop there, but who work there. Where are locals supposed to park, when the hourly rate of parking equates half the pay?!!!

As a public servant, your job is to serve the best interest of the people of New Orleans. A parking rate increase negatively affects any citizen who must pay to park for their job. This is poor economic policy. It would add more stress to an already cash strapped working class, most of whom are struggling to live in a city whose cost of living has significantly increased and is not proportional to income.
