This is outrageous. More people will pay the lots $6 for 12hrs vs what the city is trying to enforce. They will end up loosing money

Please do not extend pay to park hours. Locals are usually the ones who pay during non peak days or hours.

I already have to pay so much in parking every time I work in the quarter. I have to work for over an hour just to cover my parking as it is already. This is nuts!

The City wants the tourism industry to thrive,,,,, But, Everything they propose to do is more detrimental to the cause. Building everything Downtown with insufficient parking, Then, Using the situation to create income via fines. With everything being planned in a condensed area, The vendors with trucks and trailers have nowhere to leave their vehicles within walking distance without spending the majority of their profits to do so (If they're lucky enough to find one). There should be a lot just to accommodate the oversized vehicles working in the French Quarter and surrounding areas ! Without the Musicians and Equipment to draw the crowds, There isn't much of a reason to venture Downtown.

Politicians keep taking more and more of our money with no real results. When have they had enough?

Stop making it harder for us, the residents and workers of New Orleans, to work in and enjoy our city.

I work in the French quarter and do my best to park in the "free zones," those very few parking zones that aren't 2 hour residential zones. However, at night it is extremely difficult and unsafe to park in these unrestricted parking zones and I'm forced to walk the far distance to my car. By extending the hours and penalties for parking, we're putting hard workers and residents of New Orleans in danger and exploiting them. We're forcing the good citizens of New Orleans to pay expensive parking fines for simply trying to park a safe distance to their homes and jobs.

The proposed hikes hurt the folks who help the city bring in the bucks and is wrong-headed from start to finish.
Increase will be detrimental to my lively hood!
