Last year, the school board voted to make Pope the North Cluster's K-8 building. This year it became a K-6th school with the intent of adding a grade each year. It is now clear that Pope can not grow into a K-8 school in its current location, leaving the North Cluster without a K-8 option. We are starting this petition to inform the School Board and Madison County Commission that the citizens would like a new North Cluster K-8 school built. A new school will give students in the North Cluster what they deserve, a K-8 option for their educational and extracurricular needs.

Please consider signing the petition even if you do not have a child at Pope, as this affects the entire North Cluster. Please consider signing this petition even if your child attends private school instead of the neighborhood public school. Please consider signing this petition even if you do not have a child in the education system. Please consider signing if you believe having a new school will be beneficial to the city of Jackson, TN.

I have been talking to families across the North Cluster who feel just as stuck as we do regarding the middle school transition. The lack of a building plan is failing our children while the silence from the school board continues to grow. We need a permanent space that honors our investment in this community.

My own kids are feeling the strain of these overcrowded classrooms every single day. We need to reach this initial milestone before we bring our proposal to the commissioners. Send the link to your neighbors so we can show them how many people in this community demand a real solution.

Our children deserve a new school: they are in possibly one of the oldest standing buildings. Children not having air and in hallway to have class should be enough to get something done!

This is an important step to recruiting many of the families and children back to public schools. They bring resources (time, money, contacts, corporate connections) which will aid Pope in providing the best quality education and help the entire school district.

Desperately need a new school!! We were new to the area and shocked at the public school facility it almost deterred us from enrolling. Through encouragement of a few people we gave Pope a shot and love it. The building is awful but the people are incredible. It would be nice for the public school community to have access to a private school like facility.

We need a K-8 option in the north. Let's make Pope great! It's not ok to ship my child across town for basic educational rights. I will move him to a private option if this does not occur.

My daughter is at Pope in the 6th grade. We were promised that she had two more years at people as a K-8th. Pope has been an excellent school providing the best education for myself and my family for the last 36 years. I'm signing this petition to keep my daughter in the neighborhood and not bus here way to Northeast middle. Thanks

The K-8 will definitely benefit the children of our school system! I believe the children should switch schools as little as possible to form the lasting friendships and memories with their classmates and teachers!

For the education of our children please use our tax payers money for such a reason. it is the most important thing we could do as a community here in Jackson, by far over other projects , etc.
