Allow baseball/softball to be played in New Jersey

My son plays for a Team in the Flemington area - they work hard yr round & their teams are friends bc many have been together for 3-4 yrs - Please let them get back to playing the game they love

Allow us to play softball/baseball!!! Being outside is socially distant enough. Players are spread out in the field more than 6 feet apart. Players on benches, catchers and umpires can stand 6 feet away too. Catchers can wear gloves/batting gloves on throwing hand to minimize contact. Ball can be sanitized after each player touches the ball (not in play) or when back to the pitcher. Or all players required to wear sanitized (before putting on) batting gloves on throwing hand. Can be monitored by umpire. All players must have their tempatures taken before play time, and no players coughing allowed to play, but can stand far away from other players. Many individuals are suffering from depression, anxiety, etc, due to the lack of release of endorphins and motivation of not being able to play sports. This is imperative to the mental health of all of us.

The kids need endorphins from being confined! You are hurting them by denying this. No danger on an open field in the SUNLIGHT !!!!!

I m hoping to see baseball open soon to all that love out door soorts . Baseball has very little contact amongst players on the field . Dougouts can be expended to foul line or behind fenced areas 6ft apart . The game may take an extra 1/2 hour longer the most ,but its all worth getting to do what we love to see and do some fun in the sun ..

Play ball safely is the goal!

This is unconstitutional and being overturned by the courts in many locales. We shouldn’t have to beg and say please for this guy to do not only the right thing But the common sense thing. I applaud all who are signing this petition and the persons driving this movement. Many good comments here relating to fairness and sense and the disparity in what has been opened and what hasn’t. I have 4 school aged children who all play baseball or softball I vote to let them play!!!!!

Open up baseball and softball or close the beaches. This is very unfair and makes little sense especially when people are out of work and can’t golf or “vacation” Let the children play please
