Dear PM Sir, This is a jaw dropping incident running against our common understanding on the highly trustworthy and efficient government. The continuous failure to adhere to promises and commitments could seriously results to the lost of trust of our young boys and girls and their parents in our leaders. The missing words and actions from the respective principals and minister of education made us wonder is our education leaders taking this JC project seriously.

I agree that this entire episode can be handled better and the most important thing now is to give parents viable options. Since they have already made their decisions based on the understanding of a nearby school building, can another building not be found?

Not able to attend a single year in the new JC is already a big blow. Not able to be even at the original holding site (bishan ITE) due to St Joseph own JC upgrading has been delayed , is totally unfair. Why must the students from the three secondary schools SCGS, St Nicholas & Catholic High have to suffer this double whammy.

I think we should try to change this situation for the better which is why I am signing this.

Long distance from home and time consuming on public transport.

A promise made by the government not fulfilled. This is the wrong message to send to our future young leaders of Singapore.

will we change JC location if we succeed?

Just a concerned student with an interest to further the quality of my education.

i am disappointed with MOE for not able to deliver what it had promised. And speechless at how the Ministry had handled the matter. No notice or warning, or dialogue session with parents of the children affected, but a letter stating the change. And expect all affected to accept the finality. We had chose the school (and temporary site) because of it's close vicinity to our house. And now, we were informed that the holding site will be changed to former RJC at mt sinai which is so far away from these locations. It means 2-3 hour travel time for our kids which defeat our original intention of choosing the school. We implore the ministry to re-look into the matter, and at least kept the promise of original holding site at bishan ite campus.

I agree with the parents that wrote this wholeheartedly. I really hope that the new JC can be completed by 2017.

As promised, the holding site should be at bishan. Why are all these inconvenience borne by the parents and students from these 3 schools?

If it is technically not possible to complete the New JC by 2018 as originally projected, please at least make available the originally promised holding site at bishan st 14 former ite bishan.

The holding site at mt. Sinai is ridiculously far from my home. Bishan/Sin Ming is central and easily accessible which is one of the key factors of choosing this jc.

pls look into thus matter seriously because I am greatly disappointed about this bad news.
