As parent, our concern is our children education, we are already shock to learn about our children daily heavy home work and CCA, the main purpose to have a schools nearby our home is to save them a little time for rest. Now MOE is taking that away!!! I really sad and angry! I am disappointed with MOE responds, which doesn't really address the concerns faced by parents of 3 affected schools. Hope our gov will deliver their promise and complete the new JC as planned.

My daughter scored above 260 for her psle. However, we strongly encouraged her to choose the IP school which is just a 10-minute drive from house. We also told her that the new campus would be even nearer our home.
I remembered one day she was so excited when she told me that the pioneer batch might get a chance to study in the new campus for half a year.
Then, recently, I can see the disappointed look on her face when she passed me the letters regarding the latest developments. As parents, we tried to ask her to embrace the change and told her what moe plans to do as stated in its recent letter to parents explaining the change of plans.
However, on hindsight, I should not have encouraged her to choose a school near our house......I really regretted.

Dear PM Lee,
1. Clearly this is a case of silo in government agency working based on their internal rules and guidelines.
2. There is no overall ownership of this IP JC project. From silo planning of each government agencies in the begining (2010) to realising silo plans did not meet the original plan and the revised plan announced to us now, this is badly handled. Parents's concern, feedback and suggestions could not reached any human civil servant who has the authority to own up the mistakes and prepared to review this situation. MOE has been fronting this announcement but refused to put any senior civil servant to listen to the parents

Dear Sir, I am a mother of 3 boys who studies at Catholic High in Bishan. I would really hope that more options can be given to parents who wish to send our children to the new JC, such as giving the students a choice between RJC n AJC should the students prefer to remain in the Bishan/AMK vicinity.

Promises have been made, promises too lucrative and tight to be broken. If the MoE is unable to uphold the full promise, then it is their onus to maintain the basic terms of the agreement, rather than to hide it under a thin blanket. We need to know what is under that thin blanket, and we need to be assured that the MoE is doing its best to keep the promise it made.

We are also disappointed about MOE's decision, distance is the first thing we consider when we choose the school. If initially we know this situation like this, we won't let our kids to join IP. Hope you can do something!

I feel that the Government has let down all the parents and students of the three schools, SNGS, SCGS, and CHS. According to the letter, the new JC was supposed to be built in 2017. However, now they say that it will be completed in 2019, and will be only available to use in 2020! This is outrageous and disappointing as MOE has promised to finish the new JC in 2017. All the parents have registered in the IP in hopes of going to the new JC, but now, because of the delays, the parents are disappointed as the Year 3 and Year 2 students will not be able to enter the new JC. Imagine graduating from the new JC without even stepping in it! This is not what our efficient government usually achieves. As a Year 1 student, I will spend one year in the holding site and one year in the new JC. This is not that bad for me but for the Year 3 and Year 2 students, they will not be able to use the new JC! Imagine their disappointment about not getting to go to the new JC when they have been promised that they could go to the new JC. Also, our 'efficient' government did not have a vote or anything of that sort, they just straight out gave out a letter, told the parents - bam! That's it! I am really, truly disappointed in our so-called efficient government. I know that it must have been disappointing to give out the news, but couldn't the government have better planned their projects? I hope that they can improve on their future projects and do something about this problem.

The traveling may not be the biggest issue, but going to a JC and never step foot on the ground, no recollection of the place, feel sorry for those who are short changed, and are betrayed by the trusted authority.

I live in woodlands. It will be difficult to travel all the way to buona vista. Those who live in the east will have to travel even further than the promised Bishan location.

Dear Prime Minister,
MOE has always advised parents to choose schools near their home for the sake of their children's well being.
I strongly support that, When my 2 older sons from ACSP had DSA to ACSI and RI IP programme, I refused to let them go to ACSI despite they wanting to due to distance (I stayed in Upper Thomson). When my daughter chose to stay in SNGS IP programme, I allowed her because of proximity. We were promised a new JC in Bishan vicinity. I never doubted cos our Government DELIVERS and KEEPS promises.
I am utterly shocked. Is it fair to the children?
We were told by MOE to accept. Did MOE consider the well beings of our kids? Why the policy for kids to have priority if they stay within 2km of the school?
If MOE cannot find a site near Bishan, then we must be given a chance to change school to nearby JC.
I sincerely believe this is not a final decision. I still have faith in our Singapore Government- one who cares, who listens,who delivers on a promise, a promise which all of us based our choices on.

We are unhappy with the excuse for the prolong delay. Worst of all, the temp site is taken by sji and is unable to move out for us due to their delay also. Moe should explain for the poor planning.
