1. Justice MUST prevail, Mr PM. 2.Obviously, the most affected ones are those from SNGS and CHS. It is no fault of ours and our children, so we won't buy what the authorities told us in the 官方的说法. It's ridiculous and absurd. It's clear by now what we're upset about and what wrongs need to be put right, ASAP. 3. Please have your ministries fix the problems which they have created, It's their job to resolve them but definitely not at our expense. 4. Anxieties is building up. We need to know an affirmative reasonable reply soon. 5. Convince our young people by showing that justice will prevail in our homeland, Sir. Thank you.

My family lives far frim tbe holdibg site and traveling time is very long. I move to Singapore to get a better education for my son. I am thoroughly dissapointed by MOE and the government decision making. I am starting to wonder why I moved to Singapore in the first place when the government can't even do something as small as this right

Dear PM Lee, I sincerely hope you can do something about this. SJI is much nearer to the former RJC site and it is definitely more convenient for them to use it as a holding site. Also, most of us CHIJ SNGS girls live in the north. It is only right that we get a nearer location such as ITE Bishan. I wonder why the MOE has plans to make all the students from the four schools travel for 2-3 hours daily when we can simply make a win-win situation for everyone. Dear PM Lee, Kindly take this petition with a compassionate heart & help do something so that the new JC can be completed on time. We stay in the north & it's with promise from the primary school principal 2 yrs ago that this premier college will be in the northern part of Singapore that we have signed up for this IP programme for our girl. She could have been accepted by any other premier secondary schools or IP programme located in this part of Singapore. JC curriculum is heavy & most days the girls will end about 4-6pm. This is the peak timing & travelling on public transport can take 1:30 - 2hrs hrs during this window inclusive of the walking & feeder transition. Tiredness & all that apart especially the second half of year 2 leading to A levels will add on to the fatigue. I personally travel to work in the west everyday by public transport & literally reach home "flat" after a heavy day at work. So I know how it's like on public transport on a daily basis 2-3 hrs a day squeezing & running to get into mrt & feeder buses. It's a bit of investment in resources / cost, but the benefits reaped in a gd JC experience & nurturing a grp of our very home grown Singaporean youths ready, happy & motivated for the A levels is absolutely worthwhile. Thk you for taking time to read & act on behalf of this group of concerned parents. We will be grateful & stand for our government for many years to come knowing that our government listens & truely take care of our own people & younger generations; & in so doing our children can also feel connected, proud to shout about to their kids that this is home in time to come !

Dear Prime Minister Lee, I am joining this petition because I am fearful of the alarming effects that the decision making process of the MOE officers may potentially have on my son's development as a person. These are namely :- - it is ok to make promises but not deliver them - it is ok to put on lower priority when considering the impact on people's life Ironically, my son had been following closely the footages and write-ups of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's life and the above are the exact opposite of what Mr. Lee stood for so strongly all his life. I've counselled him that we cannot jump to conclusions until we have gotten definitive answers from the officers involved. Unfortunately, despite repeated requests from parents for a dialogue with the officers in charge so that we can share each others' concerns and considerations, we have met with deafening silence leaving us with no choice but to draw negative conclusions. I sincerely hope that a dialogue can be set up between the main decision makers from MOE and parents of all affected students so that as parents we can understand the constrains that MOE are working with and MOE can understand the concerns of parents. Most importantly, solutions acceptable to all parties should be found in the most amicable way possible. Specifically, I would like to discuss the following questions :- 1) Are the MOE officers in charge and especially the principal of SJI aware of the impact that SJI is causing to students of CHS, SNGS and SCGS as well as students from SJI? It is not difficult to see that using a 3 MRT stop radius from Bishan, students of the new JC are most likely staying in areas such as Toa Payoh, Bradell, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, to Khatib and on the Circle line Botanic Garden to Bartley. SJI students, on the other hand, considering that their school in Malcolm Road is nearest to Botanic Garden Station would most likely be staying in areas from Buona Vista (the proposed former RJC holding site) to Bishan along

Once a boy of sec 1 batch of 2014, not in SG now but hope the best for my fellow schoolmates.

We have to keep our promise to the parents, students and the public. 1200km high speed railway can be completed and put in fully operation in 3 years then why a JC can't be follow the suit? What have they done during this 5 years after this new school was announced? Do trust our PM, there are still more than 2 years to go even complete it In the end of 2017.

Reading all the comments here, many I agree with and feel strongly about as an affected parent, I'm also very saddened by the fact that the kids have to worry over this too. Is it not some people got paid to do their job properly and dutifully? Why make the kids so disappointed and sad? Why they decided to speak up? Because they are directly impacted! Some people must have been sitting on this new project for the past 5 years, yet simply no time to even think for an identity of the JC. What about time and actions to start the ball rolling for the construction? To complete by 2017, I reckon construction ought to be in progress right now, shouldn't it? But looking at the timeline now, I'm skeptical much can be done to expedite the project to complete in 2017 as promised. I hope I'm wrong. Zero construction ongoing now! Nothing! One third into 2015 already. I noted that the new building will be an impressive architecture, tall glasses and everything nice. Anything beautiful, surely requires time to craft it. That explains the announcement as early as 2010 for the new JC and subsequently the official press release in Jan 2014 that it's going to be ready in 2017. We don't want substandard and shoddy works out of a rush hush! Be mindful, building's safety must NEVER be compromised! Of late, LTA is suddenly in the picture and conveniently pushed back the plan for the new JC. Whoever decided to push back the plan again and again, whoever decided the holding site at the faraway Mt Sinai, I must say these decisions were made thoughtlessly, selfishly, inconsiderately and simply without any compassion. They decided, they announced, we parents and students were treated with a big rude shock! With this foreseeable scenario caused by the "unforeseen circumstances", come 2016, let the kids select a JC of their choice before they embark on their JC life and leave this episode behind. Kids, this is a learning journey too, in the real world ! 要hold住! Don't let it affect your studies.

If St Joseph can't move out due to their project delay, why not ask St Joseph to shift to Buona Vista? Don't understand how MOE manage the issue. Instead of localize the problem and minimize the impact, MOE spread it wider and blow it bigger. Everyone are losers, JC students, parents, IPs schools, MOE, government...... Except the one who created the problem - St Joseph. No offend to St Joseph. But the way MOE manage it is disappointing. Highly paid elites, please do a proper work!

I am a parent of a primary 6 pupil. We lived in the north and St Nicholas is always on top of the list of our choice secondary schools. However, because of the uncertainty of the construction of the new JC, I am now reconsidering of secondary school choices. I have friends whose children are in the respective IP schools and whose plans are suddenly disrrupted by the delay. I am signing to express my support to have their voices heard. Besides, St Nicholas is such a fine school. It is really unfortunate to see her prospect being darken by this incidence.

Erm, Singapore has low crime rate, so I believe Mt Sinai isn't dangerous to the extent that students have to keep away...

The reason our daughter chose CHIJ St Nicholas IP program was because it is near our house and with the promise that the new JC will be around Bishan vicinity. These will reduce a lot of time spend on traveling, in return more time for my daughter to spend on her homework, study and to pursue any passion she has in life. We always believe in approaching education in a more holistic way. She is currently in track and field, where the training regime already taken up a lot of her time. I'm happy that she was still able to managed her time well currently. But with the New JC in such a distance from house, most of the time will be spend on school & traveling, that will definitely take a toll on her, where she might have to forgo a lot very important passion in her life, in order to manage her time. Pls seriously consider our concerns. Thank you.
