I would like a new ice rink in Wakefield because ice skating is fun and great exercise. I would go everyday if I could but the ice rinks "local" to Wakefield are too far away and not easily accessible by public transport.
It has only taken me 14 months to reach, and pass, UK star gold in both dance and freestyle, from hardly being able to skate at all.
The next stage of my coaching means I need to skate in a morning, but I am unable to do this as on training days I would be late for school.
Ice Sheffield is always busy and I am sure a similar facility in Wakefield would be too, especially if it was located in a place easy to get to, with lots of car parking.
How can people become world class at sports when there are no facilities to go to?

Reaching this point has been a long and draining process that often felt like shouting into the void. Seeing this level of backing reminds me why I started this, even when the logistics of getting to the ice are wearing me down.

This is exactly what Wakefield needs to bring in the crowds that are forced to go further afield! Been crying out for it for ages!!
I Think It Would Be A Great Idea Because Seeing As The Other Rink Gets Used So Much I Ghink It Would Be Great To Get A New/Other One And So The Amount Would Be Balanced Out Equally.

yes holly! I think we finally agree on something other than the fact that I'm probably the most fabulous person you've ever met. anyway I think a new ice skating rink would be great because not only will it be helpful for the people that live in Wakefield but maybe I could learn a new sport.

Good idea would also give kids something different to achieve and keep them off the streets if it's not too expensive.
