In the midst of the worst spike yet the powers that be have decided that we will be returning to school. I totally understand the desire to return to some form of normalcy, but NOT when it puts students, teachers, support staff, administrators, and all of the people that they come in contact with at risk. Whether we teach under Plan B or Plan C we will still be required to teach virtually. The difference is that with Plan C we are not risking lives to do so.

Going back to school does not align with the safety measures in place for the rest of our society. My life is valuable!

We are supposed to start school with students in less than 3 weeks as a restart year school. This is unacceptable.

Please consider a switch to Plan C which would allow more time to prepare for an eventual transition to Plan B that includes input from teachers, parents, and students, which your current Plan B is lacking.

I am very stressed about childcare and as a cancer survivor my high risk health concerns. I also help take care of my elderly immunosuppressed mother in law. Please please reconsider plan C. This is very stressful.

If we still can’t go to the movies, the bowling alley, the park, a gym, etc... how is it safe for me to be in the classroom ?

I miss being in the classroom, but I do not want to return until it is safe for us to do so. Please start with Plan C so we can be more thoughtful and prepared to welcome students and teachers into the building. Lives will be saved and the board will have the opportunity to include teachers in the planning process to ensure the safest return.

NHCS please consider everyone that this decision involves. It also involves the families of the teachers. Plan B is extending the situation for an unforseeble amount of time.
