I'm a TA. I feel like this is a good idea to let the tourist return home and gives time for the xovid numbers to fall.back down.

I can’t wait to be back at school with our students and amazing staff. With school scheduled to begin in a month, and case numbers on the rise, I don’t feel it is safe for students and staff.

For the safety of students and staff at NHCS I urge the NHCS SCHOOL BOARD to begin the year under Plan C .

Option C is the safest way to begin the school year. This will also give us time to safely and responsibly come up with a plan to get students back in the building. Please let teachers be a part of the planning process. We love our jobs and our students.

We all know that face-to-face learning is superior to remote learning, and we miss being with our students. But it is not safe to return to classrooms right now given our rising case and hospitalization numbers, and the short amount of time to prepare for the start of school. Even one student or staff life lost is one too many.

Please start with plan c. This will save lives and improve morale, while giving us the time to fully plan and prepare for a plan b as our community heals. I love my students, colleagues, and job dearly! I am fearful of the long term repercussions of implementing plan b too soon.

We’re not going to be ready to safely and coherently open school by Aug. 17. We should at least do virtual learning for the first 9 weeks and use some of that time to prepare and train staff and faculty on new safety protocols for when students do return. I will, of course, do what NHCS decides, but I honestly believe we are rushing this plan without any clarity on how to actualLy make Plan B a feasible option.

With too many unanswered questions with plan B, and no real way to make it a safe plan, plan C is the safest option.

Protecting the health of students, teachers and loved ones at home needs to be a top priority. Plan C is imperative for the first nine weeks.
