Part of the reason to not let my student go to PHS. That and the schools lack of interest and funds in other extracurricular activities that the school was based on. Class of 88.

We need a new coach. I didn't want to sign this petition because this is someone's lively hood. However, after this year, changes need to happen. Our offense is atrocious. Our defense could have been decent, but they spent the entire game out on the field. The most points scored by our offense in a single game was 14. Pitiful. I totally blame the coaching. The do the same stupid plays over and over. Nothing new. Nothing fun and exciting. Coach H allows certain kids to talk back to him and disrespect him. I think he has had his moments in the past, but it's time to get some new blood in there with new ideas and excitement.

My kids have been part of this team for a long time now and seeing the decline in this program is heart breaking. It lacks ingenuity, teamwork, leadership, discipline, focus, etc... We used to be proud to say our boys played for Pflugerville, now it's just embarrassing. Kids who do not maintain their grades and who are disrespectful and not dedicated shouldn't be allowed to play. It is absolutely disgusting to see players being disrespectful towards coaches. What the heck has happened to our program? We are definitely in need of new plays, redirecting kids who aren't executing the fundamentals properly (blocking, tackling, learning the plays), more discipline of our players, award those kids who are dedicated...not those who show up when they feel like it. When did the power shift to the players who think they can do what they want, when they want and there are minimal consequences...if that. We need change! If signing this petition has the potential to bring that on...then I gladly do it. I don't point a finger at just one person because blame lies on multiple fronts, but cleanup is definitely needed.

Actually as the mother of the qb he was telling the coaches that he was fine and that he did not need to come out.......but what I do agree with you on is that the coach NEEDS to let the qb call if not his own plays then some of his plays at least. So nooooo the qb was not trying to run the show

Another disappointing loss last week to a team that doesn't even have a home stadium. What's probably more disappointing is when the coach tells another player to go in for a player on the field and that player tells the coach NO. Did he really just tell the coach he was staying in and he is running the show? We probably would have a better win/loss record if the coach did let the QB call his own plays. And then we have to burn a timeout because the coach can't control his own team and they don't have the respect to listen to him or trust his judgment. That tells you we definitely need new coaches!

Reading this breaks my heart even more, you said a mouth full and I truly appreciate your comment. I have experienced it all trust me coming from a mother who has NEVER EVER missed a game or barely a practice. This is very very true however it is not fair to the kids who do try and go to tutorials to take care of their business just to later on get in trouble by the coaches to why they were not in practice this is such a double standard. then they are threatened that they will not get to start or not get to play because they weren't at practice wow and really so there is a logical explanation to why there are so many students failing. I am still agreeing with your comment because at the end of the day it is up to our boys to pass just not for football but to be passing students anyways! Again thank you for this!

I am simply learning a lot just by reading and engaging in some of these comments. It's a sad shame and for him not to care is even more distasteful. This is something we are not use to at all.

As unfortunate as it is I have been apart of this program long enough. I am totally disgusted with coaches practicing new plays but NEVER EVER execute them what a complete waste of time and energy. I have had so many experiences with this program and none to my liking nor my children who are current athletes in the program. There is an awful lot of talent being wasted and misused. It's so unfair to the players when there is favoritism to other players most whom never show up to practice, most who down talk other players too. Football is a team sport however it seems that its played as an individual sport. I say and will continue to say there is absolutely NO DISCIPLINE whatsoever. I know the athletes that Pflugerville produces and so does everyone else. It's sickening to watch! I refuse to let my boys continue to play because I feel like the coaches don't care whether they get hurt, whether they pass or anything. I have a lot more to say and a lot more information to back up what I say as well. I hope and pray for a change in this program. It doesn't matter if we have a losing season as long as the boys know that they are winners in their hearts. I stand with this petition 100% and will fight for a change. I've invested in so much time, money, donations, dinners, rides, comfort, understanding & energy into this program to not have any type of progress this has got to STOP!!!!!!!!!
