New Board Leadership For TPA

This school means a lot to the children, parents & community!

A true leader finds ways to unite people with varying views and create an environment where they can work together accomplish their goals. As a new charter, with so much potential, there is no room for any other type of leader. The bickering, disrespect and lack of necessary action has gone on for way to long. I am scared to think about how many AMAZING teachers TPA will lose if immediate action is not taken. We need to refocus on the school's mission statement and how this can be achieved if we are changing teachers and leaders every year.

I urge you to reconsider your decision on your selected candidate for principal of tpa. Tpa's charter bylaws have been violated over and over with hiring the outside firm, only having 3 board members for several months. The ace model effects everyone as a whole, my child's happiness, education and self -reliance under the leadership of Mrs. Mckinney is the reason we stayed this year. Tpa will lose the foundation it was built on, if our current chairman is not removed of his duties.

Our children should be our main priority along with our wonderful teachers and Mrs. Mckinney

As long as the current members, especially PETER, continue to serve on the board, TPA will not advance in any way.

Please make changes to TPA'S board, starting with the Chairman. This is an example of what can happen when one or two people have too much control and power. It's really sad because this school has enormous potential but as long as things stay the same, TPA will never reach its full potential. Lastly, the removal of Mrs. McKenney is not only unfair but has racial overtones..... Sad!!!!

Shameful. Clearly, the Board is not taking any of the students, staff, or families in consideration. Continued non-compliance, ignoring requests and complaints by staff and families. The unprofessionalism is appalling. What a poor example they are setting for leaders in this leadership school!

Peter Mojica is going to destroy this school. He does not listen to the teachers but lies and talks very condescending. The teachers are replaceable in his eyes. He does not look at quality. He is dysfunctional and loves chaos.

A school cannot strive without strong governance that has sufficient representation of the public interest.

Peter Mayorca seems to be pulling all the strings and they are not to the benefit of TPA but personal vendetta/agenda. We Love TPA and Mrs.Mckinney!!! It is because of her and her commitment to the families and staff that make the school Great!

Completely support this! It's time Peter Mojica is exposed for his misuse of his position to serve a personal agenda. His complete disregard for the success of this school, it's staff and most importantly the students shows his corrupt motivations and ill will. Please remove him! If he stays...we go!

I'm having a really hard time figuring out why this petition has to even be in place. The students love Mrs. McKinney, the teachers love Mrs. Mckinney and the parents love Mrs. McKinney so I don't know why anything would need to change. We are the people who deal with her on a daily basis and are ALL so happy with her. You know she genuinely cares about the school and everyone in it. When the students are upset that their principal is leaving I think that alone speaks volumes. Peter I hope you see all of these comments and see how much we all love her and are scared for our childrens future at TPA based on one descision we had no say in that affects OUR children.

This board has been corrupt for a long time. We have not been in compliance with our bi-laws due to the stubbornness of this current board and I feel that the decisions have been strongly biased. I support this petition.

This is a great school. My grandson is thriving there.

For the benefit of our school and most importantly our children the board must be replaced.

Under the leadership of Mrs. McKinney, TPA has finally become the school we all hoped and knew it could be. The Board, under its current Chairman, continues to prove to be not only unfit but also not aligned with the mission of the school. Their interests are everywhere but in the students, teachers, staff, and families of TPA. It is way past time for a change. Thank you PTO executive board and committee for starting this petition!

I'm tired of the students and parents being this board's last consideration @ TPA. They also have zero respect for the teachers and the PTO. The PTO bought many items the board couldn't afford to buy over the past 2 years. They should be applauded, not ridiculed by an ignorant group of people.

My son has flourished in his first year at TPA under the leadership of Mrs. McKinney. He adores the school, teachers, and staff. As a former teacher, I have high expectations and the teachers and staff have met those. However, with respect to the Board, I am apalled at the complete disregard for the success and welfare our children, lack of professionalism, and pushing of personal agendas. Unfortunately the TPA Board has lost the trust of the parents at TPA. Up to this point TPA has overcome the Board's inability to lead. However over the long road, a school reflection of its leadership and this Board will lead a great school into the ground if action is not taken immediately.
